The Rushmore Hotel & Suites, BW Premier Collection

What a great hotel Mount Rushmore is and right in downtown Rapid City. My family and i stayed for the live mysic last night and had a great time! I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family!

Checkin was fast and friendly! The rooms are obviously outdated but they’ve done a nice job putting a good bandaid over it to make it look & feel nicer. I’m guessing a full renovation is in their future. I’m sure this used to be a premium hotel in its day! It still felt clean, wasn’t worried about my kids playing in unsanitary conditions. Location: walking distance to several restaurants and Main Street square (splash pad). Felt safe walking around although just a few blocks the other way is not the best. Friends from this town do not spend time in this area due to safety. But as out of towners, it was good. Rapid City is pretty tight together, drive 5-10 minutes to everything. Great location for getting to the Black Hills, too. Breakfast: no continental as we already knew. We received the Expedia $15 off coupon so we went to the restaurant and opted for the buffet - which was an INEDIBLE continental breakfast. Eggs were horrid, pancakes & biscuits were hard, no gravy. Sausage was hard. Can’t believe we paid any $ at all, but that’s a separate review for the Enigma restaurant ;) Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

Hotel room was cramped for a family of 4. Lots of little things in disrepair like wall plate on the floor but overall clean. Good area with places to eat within walking distance. Parking was hard due to the Sturgis rally. The room service was fast and service was great and friendly. The Enigma restaurant was good and service great there too.

The hotel is ok for singles or couples, not so family friendly. The night our family stayed there was a live band and drunks everywhere. The accommodations, well the room was more like an inner city studio. No blackout shades, sliding glass door for bathroom with no privacy. Vent in bathroom did not open for ventilation, bathroom cabinet had water damage at floor level and very little storage. I guess I expected alot more for the reviews. Manager was gracious enough to cancel full reservation after I expressed my dislike of accommodations and moved to other local hotel.

Our family really enjoyed staying here. The staff was very helpful and friendly the room was well kept, clean and had a great view of the city. We’d absolutely stay here again.

Liked: The front desk attendants were very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and quiet (until the family who stayed in the next room started to talk so loudly :( ) The area is safe and has multiple restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Didn't Like: Shower curtain was molded and trapping the hairs of someone who stayed before us. The waitperson at the restaurant dropped a used battery knife onto my husband's lap and laughed about it. He even didn't say sorry.

We loved our one-night stay at The Rushmore! The kids loved that depictions of Mount Rushmore could be found throughout the hotel, and we enjoyed the gallery wall near the elevator. The room was clean and the bathrooms were clean and adequate. The breakfast was good and hot and the service was good. It was nice to have on-site free parking. Definitely recommend if you’re staying in Rapid City.
