Cambria Hotel Mount Pleasant – Charleston

The hotel and room were very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However they advertise breakfast and when we arrived, we were informed that they no longer do breakfast. That was an inconvenience for my family and I wouldn’t have booked there had I known that.

Property was nice and up dated. Pool was nice. We stayed for a few days and some staff was nice. Location is nice off the beaten path and not far to other areas we enjoyed such as Charleston, Sullivans Island, and Shems Creek. No continental breakfast kinda stinks as there’s no average priced restaurants close by to feed a family. Walmart and Trader Joe’s wasn’t far and we were able to pick up some basics for the room to cover that. For the price it was a great stay and we would visit again for the great location.

Good location. Very clean. Helpful staff, especially Jacob with his dining suggestions and young lady who helped us non-techy people get our tv to work with our firestick. Only complaint was the people or kids above us were jumping and running around and being quite noisy late at night. Perhaps the floors/ceiling could have used more insulation.

Nice clean property. Comfortable beds, great shower. Too bad the restaurant isn’t open for breakfast, would be nice not to drive somewhere to eat. The options available in the concession aren’t great. The room above ours must have had some young children. They woke early and stampeded around for hours. Why do hotels feel the need to put young families on the top floor. Hotel wasn’t full?

It was a pleasant stay with family. Place was quiet. swimming pool is small.

We had a pleasant stay. Hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The hotel and room were very clean. This is a top priority for us, and they do a great job of keeping the rooms and common areas very clean. The pool appeared very clean, but unfortunately we were unable to use it as it is pretty small and there was a large amount of people using it when we checked twice. Not a huge inconvenience, as we were there for the beach, but our children were a little disappointed, understandably. Location of hotel is very convenient to restaurants, shopping, beach. Walmart is right across the street, but was a madhouse with sparse shelves. We hit Target the next day and that was much better. Our only minor complaints are with the air conditioning and guest laundry. Our hvac unit barely took the humidity out of the room and seemed to struggle to keep the room at 70. Two of us had some sinus/coughing issues. I believe the filters need changed/cleaned. I understand its a humid climate, and it was extremely hot and humid outside. There is only one washing machine and two dryers in the guest laundry. There was a small line for laundry, which is understandable with just one washer. Many people i would imagine have wet, sandy beach towels and suits that they don't want to pack away wet. Overall the stay was really good!

We made the reservation super last minute and the hotel was great! Convenient, clean and quiet. Our kids used the pool, which was very clean (I saw some scrubbing it a few times). There’s no free breakfast, but there’s an option to order a basic breakfast via room service and free coffee- there’s also a large snack bar. Walmart is across the street and we used Uber eats a number of times. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet! We slept well on the comfy beds and relaxing in the room. There was a fridge we took advantage of.
