I had a great time. Room was nice and the staff was friendly. Free wine and cookies was an added bonus. Very close to everything I wanted to see. Would definitely recommend for couples without children.

I loved this quaint hotel. The room was comfortable, loved the four poster beds and the interior court yard. A nice surprise was that they do continental breakfast which you can eat in the courtyard, a evening reception that offers cheese and crackers, beer and wine, and a night service that includes milk and cookies. The kids loved that. The only minus was the the air conditioning since it's not central air, and you have to walk through a heat tunnel from the elevator to your door.

We loved our stay with our family of four. It’s a bit out dated but clean and we were happy with the amenities. They had a continental breakfast with good options for all of us. They had a nice wine and cheese hour nightly and they also had beer. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Location was amazing! No need for a car and only $20 to park on site a night. Would recommend.

Had a late check in after midnight with a family of four. Margaret at the reception made us feel as if we were visiting a close relative’s home. She even offered dinner which we kindly declined. My sons preferred grabbing complimentary goodie bags. Margaret even checked upon us by phone to make sure we made it to our roomy room. The building is historic and well maintained. Making breakfast at the atrium near the fountain was refreshing. Each and every member of the staff we encountered was kind and professional. They allowed our car stay in their free parking lot until 5 pm so we could have a city tour after check out. A classy hotel in beautiful downtown Charleston with southern hospitality and tradition at its best. Highly recommended.

This hotel perfectly fits my needs. I was not interested in a pool or gym. I wanted to be centrally located to access all the highlights of Charleston within walking distance. The hotel has a private parking lot for a small fee. I drove from out of town in an SUV and it was convenient and safe. Every morning, continental breakfast was available along with late afternoon oeuvres and wine. Perfect for a muture crowd without children.
