Staybridge Suites Montgomeryville, an IHG Hotel

The room was disgusting, there was black mold everywhere and there was an overpowering smell of bleach that made it difficult to breathe in the room.The staff was practically non-existent when I asked I could have a different room. The pool was closed, the gym had no AC and was very hot in the room. The breakfast left A LOT to be desired. I frequent this area when visiting family and You could not pay me to stay at this hotel again.

I wanted to stay closer to my son and family so I had a choice of Hampton Inn or Staybridge Suites. There are many Hampton Inns in the area so I thought I’d try Staybridge. We recently moved away from the area, so when we return for appointments or whatever, we normally stay at Normandy Farm Hotel a few miles away and we pick up our 6 yr old granddaughter to come swim then take her out to dinner. This hotel advertised an info-or pool but after we got there, we found out the pool wasn’t open. She was quite disappointed. When we checked in, the room had a pretty bad odor, it was like a cheap cleaning product or deodorizer. The room was worn, paint was chipped, refrigerator was rusty and stained on themselves. The desk chair was arm wax broken, the fake leather finish on the seat was totally worn off. (the same worn material was found on all of the chairs in the lounge/dining area.) The tub had a constant drip, the soap pumps in the shower didn’t pump properly. The hairdryer only worked in one setting and when I looked at it, the side of the unit was melted through from an electrical short. Obviously we won’t be staying there again. I’m not sure if we’ll try the Hampton Inn that shares the parking lot or just go back to where we know it’s clean, safe, and smells good.

Why did you put us in a room that had a broken ac system? Why was there only one bath towel for two people? Have you ever heard of inspecting a room before before putting a person in it? Other family members were with us staying in your hotel and there was something that didn’t work or was missing in their rooms as well. We rented a board room in your hotel for an outrageous fee which was a bare bones room. The lobby area was always hot and stuffy. In conclusion I would NEVER recommend your hotel to anyone. Totally over priced for what you received. Also I forgot to mention the room was never serviced once for anything. Not even a clean towel!

We needed a place to stay close to family to help[ with move. I was hoping to use pool and hottub after long day but both were not open due to maintenance. I wish i knew that prior to arriving. There was a Hampton Inn next door.

I was very disappointed the pool was not working. I had to drive another 20 min each way and pay $52 for my family to go swimming after a 4 hour ride to get there. We didn’t know it wasn’t working until we got there.

The stay was fine but the pool was closed. I specifically wanted to use the pool. They said it wouldn’t open until the Summer despite it being an indoor pool. My kids were disappointed

The suite was very nice with a small kitchenette, a convenient sitting area, and a very comfortable bed. The kitchenette in our studio included a microwave, a toaster oven, dishwasher, and an apartment-sized fridge... there were plates, bowls, glasses (including the all important wine glasses) for up to 3 people. We appreciated that the hotel allows small dogs for a $75/stay fee. If you have a pet you have to sign a waiver that if your dog misbehaves and 2 people complain about it you have to leave (without a refund), which seemed reasonable to us. Parking was free and there was plenty of it. The free hotel breakfast was nice. There were several restaurants nearby. We loved the local deli (which you can walk to)! All in all, it was a great stay. The people who worked there were very friendly and helpful. While we weren't disturbed in our room, we heard children running up and down hallways on the floor above us as we walked to the elevator. That would suggest to me that it might be better to get a room on an uppermost floor.

Breakfast was FREE and amazing. Waffles, sausage, cereal, yogurt FREE. Gym: The gym was nice and clean with a nice sized TV inside. Laundry: The laundry room was clean and FREE. Parking: Ample and FREE. The room was CLEAN and my fiancé who is (PICKY) had NOTHING to day about the cleanliness or look of the room. The kitchen was nice and well stocked. Surrounding Area: Nice and central to lots of stores i.e. Best Buy, big box retailers. Also, lots of restaurants, i.e. Chipotle, Bonefish Grill and the like. Staff: The staff were very nice. Didn't have much interaction with the staff, but the interactions we did have were nice and professional. Cons: Pets: Guest with a dog in the lobby (nothing against dogs) but pets and hotels just don't mix for me. But to be fair, my room was incredibly clean, so if there were dogs in my room recently, there were no traces/smells/messes/remnants. Elevator: The elevator moved a lot while people got on/off. One lady made a comment about it moving while she and her children were getting on. Overall, this hotel was super nice and if my insanely picky fiance has no complaints (which almost never happens) then i'm gonna say this hotel is a winner and we would def stay there again.

I have a big family and the room was great for a family of 6.

Great, friendly staff. Good breakfast selections every morning. Room was immaculate and amenities were great. Only complaint was some unruly child or someone who pulled a fire alarm at 7 am......
