Homewood Suites by Hilton Lansdale

The staff were wonderful and the room was clean. For the breakfast, kids enjoyed making waffles. If I need to say one thing, there is only one elevator and was very slow.

In town to visit family and this property was perfect for our needs. The suite was really nice, allowing for spouse to be in one room watching tv while I was in another. Good water pressure for our showers. Didn't really have an opportunity to enjoy the breakfast, but the quick omelet I had was pretty tasty. The pool setting was really attractive.

Staff were very friendly and hospitable. I needed to extend my stay twice and I was able to without any issues. The hotel was clean and it was nice to have both a pool and basketball court for the kids. We had a great time!

We came for a soccer tournament so not huge expectations from this kind of hotel. But what captured my attention was the lack of training of staff in the reception. The managers were no where to be seen and the receptionist was left alone untrained to deal with families. The rest of the hotel is just at the level of a US three star meaning things are ok not great.

The property was easy to get to, the room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. However the property is located next to a SEPTA stop. Trains run all the time and sound their horns for the street crossing. Also there were a large number of young children staying at the hotel for some type of sports event. They were noisy - running up and down halls and squealing. Staff should have placed guests traveling without children on another floor.

Front desk staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The kitchen staff hated life. He checked that there were empty trays but left them that way for an hour until people told front desk management of the situation. He cursed in front of our child and complained about everyone trying to eat breakfast during breakfast hours.. The room was nice for the most part, until somebody had been smoking marijuana in their room and it came through the bathroom vents and the moisture soaked it into all our clothes. We tried to air it out, but for safety, obviously, you can't open hotel windows. With one night left, we didn't want to switch rooms, but it was THAT bad. Kid was coughing and wife was lightheaded. I'd recommend not getting breakfast with your stay. If that employee is still the cook, you're not eating much other than the stale cereal coming out of gumball machines. Also, make sure you check the weather during your stay, they only have an outdoor pool. If you're traveling with a child, head's up their nap will interrupted by a train passing every hour.

We had booked this at a very low price and were not expecting much, but we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the suite and quality of breakfast. Unfortunately it was a quick stay for us (went to Philadelphia for a concert so didn't check in until 11, and left at 9am), but this would have been a great option for a longer stay with all the amenities. We were sorry that we didn't have time to try out the pool and hot tub! We have family near here and will definitely keep this hotel in mind for future visits.

Only room left was smoking room. Wish whole facility was non smoking with designated smoking areas. This coming from an ex smoker who was always willing to go else where to smoke because I know how offensive the smell can be. Having a family of 6 stay in a smoking room was quite the chore. Our clothes smelled even after leaving the room. The room was clean and nice but impossible to get that stench out.
