Comfort Inn & Suites – Harrisburg Airport – Hershey South

We had a wonderful time visiting Hershey. We came from Altoona. I am originally from Eastern Pennsylvania. They were one month away from opening a WAWA directly across from the hotel! If it was opened I may not have checked out. And now we know for sure where to have family stay with us next year.

Busy but quiet, staff does great job specifically the breakfast lady - large 2 bus of kids she kept up and did great job!

The property and room both clean. The lobby receptionist so nice and accommodating. Our room was clean and the room above us upstairs had a large family in it with lots of active kids. They gave us another room so that we could go to sleep early since we had an early flight. That was extremely helpful.

Overall the stay was great, room was really clean, would definitely stay there again. The only complaint would have to be the elevator not working and having to carry luggage and suitcases on top of my toddlers up flights of stairs all weekend.

The check-in desk person doubles as shuttle driver to the airport, so we had to wait a long time to be checked in at 10pm (with children waiting to go to bed). It's clear this was not just a temporary arrangement, since they had an official sign in a plastic stand on the desk for when the desk person was away driving. Both elevators were broken, in a 4 story hotel. They had signs saying they were "actively working on fixing" the elevators, but during my 3-day stay there were no signs of anyone working on either elevator, and both elevators were out of order at once. The staircase was not air conditioned. Our room was quiet (not many guests nearby), but curtains were too short, so we were woken up early by bright sunlight. The only available outlet from inner sides of beds was an extension outlet on the lamp, but the label had been mostly rubbed off on the part that said it was only 3 amps, so we didn't discover until too late that it was basically a useless outlet for computers. No towel racks in the bathroom except inside the shower, and in particular nowhere to hang a hand towel to dry. Breakfast was decent: sausages, scrambled eggs from powdered eggs, pot of oatmeal (the oatmeal was good), waffle-maker and batter dispenser, cheerios plus some sugar cereals (no non-frosted fiber cereals), yogurt bar (but the only yogurt was pre-sweetened, even though one of the available toppings was sugar), toaster and generic sliced bread, coffee, juice, water, 2% milk.

The hotel is clean and pleasant. There was no water offered in the room. Beds are comfy. You can hear the airport a little but all in all it was comfortable. Our only disappointment was that the pool was undergoing maintenance and my kids had been looking forward to a swim. But such things happen!

Comfort Inn gave up our rooms. They gave us rooms that were occupied and disturbed the other families. Are that disaster the rooms they finally gave us the toilet was broken and when we complained to management they didnt fix it. The other room had stains on the bed sheets that looked like blood.

Our stay on Wednesday the 9th was just horrabile. The hotel was filled with kids and they had no regard for any of the other cusomers staying at the hotel. They were very noisy jumping on the beds and it was had to sleep. I would suggest that they be put on the first floor and the rest of us put on the other floors.

Very nice hotel. Clean spacious rooms for a family of 5, which is hard to find. Breakfast area was very undersized for the hotel.

We had such an amazing time. The room was worth the price and it was so spacious. We booked this room for the weekend to go to Hershey Park which was only 15 minutes away. The kids were able to enjoy the spacious room and pool. We just wished the pool was warmer. It was super cold so we only spent a few minutes in it. However, everything else was 5/5 stars. Highly recommend!!
