Hampton Inn Philadelphia/Great Valley/Malvern

Great for families.

Excellent hotel. Stayed for 2 days with our adult children for a family gathering in the area. Everything was tidy and clean. The only hiccup was that we were relying on the Tesla Supercharger and they were out of service. The other options for charging were not that close...

Professional and friendly staff. Very clean! Rooms look like they are relatively newly updated. Overall looks good although not high end quality....but perfectly acceptable for Hampton Inn. Location is great, very close to the highway. Some decent restaurant options and shopping area within 5 minutes. There is a small outdoor pool to cool down but we did not go in. There was a family with 2 dogs running around the pool deck though so it didn't look very relaxing, clean or inviting to us. Perfect for a stay as we are passing through the area. Would stay again if we are in the area.

Everything was great, the staff was super nice, the breakfast was good (though seating was limited), the hotel was clean, etc. Except for one thing: there is no actual refrigerator in the room. When we called down to let them know the fridge wasn't cold we were told it's not a refrigerator, it's an electric "cooler". We had to put bags of ice in it to keep the milk for our toddler from going bad. The front desk staff said we could have kept it in the fridge they had in the back, which was a really nice offer, but that is super inconvenient when you need milk in the middle of the night for a toddler who won't go back to sleep. Having an electric cooler is a waste of money on the part of the hotel, a compact refrigerator (as was advertised as being including in the room) would have been much better.

Nice place when you’re with kids.

The staff here tries...they are really nice and they do their best to be accommodating. When we arrived, they let us check in about a 1/2 hour before scheduled check in time. Bonus points for them!! After that, it went downhill. First thing, one of the elevators was broken, forcing us to wait longer than necessary for elevator service, and it stayed broken throughout our 3 day stay. The ice machine on our floor is also out of order, forcing us to go to another floor for ice for the entire 3 days. On day 2, some others from our party arrived at the hotel. Again, early check in was granted. The key machine is broken, making it necessary for our friends to drop by the desk and ask for assistance each time they want to enter their room. At 3:30 pm my room has still not been made up. That night I called down to the desk to place a wake up call request and I have to call 3 different times until someone finally answers the phone. I went to the lobby each of our 3 evenings to get tea and on 2 of those nights, the tea water bas barely lukewarm and I had to re-heat it in the microwave. This hotel is convenient to the highway, area attractions & my family. We stay here several times a year and we've never had this number of things be wrong, so I'm willing to just chalk it up to a fluke. The breakfast is good, the rooms are clean, the beds are more comfy than most hotels. We'll stay here again because of the location.

Hotel was at convenient location for us to attend family holiday gatherings (intersection of highway and main thoroughfare). Stayed six nights during recent visit. Very impressed with hotel's staff (front desk, breakfast area, custodial/maintenance, etc.) -- all were very cordial, courteous and took initiative to ensure our stay was comfortable and pleasant. Room was clean and adequately furnished -- would be even better if small refrigerator and microwave were added to rooms. Floor was quiet at night during stay. Very good breakfast provided daily with many choices.
