Hampton Inn Downingtown/Exton

My family was given a room on the first floor, across from the laundry room. It smelled HORRIBLE. The room was damp and the smell was a mixture of stale cigarette smoke, wet dog and cheap perfume. The hotel was booked so we couldn’t change rooms. But for what we paid ($305 after tax) for a one night stay, someone should have offered us something for putting up with the smell. The hallways were hot annd stuffy, you can’t socialize in the lobby after 11pm, And the breakfast food was not good. several basic things like bagels and waffle mix ran out 20 minutes before breakfast ended at 10. We have stayed at Several Hampton Inns and I would never stay at this location ever again.

Hotel had the cleanest bathroom I’ve ever seen in any hotel. The beds were so comfortable! Room was very quiet. The free breakfast was delicious! One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Have family nearby so definitely booking again!

This is the first time that my family & I ever stayed in a Hampton. It was wonderful! The hotel was very clean, and bug Free. The breakfast that is offered is great, nothing was nasty. The room was big, clean and and comfy. The bathroom was nice, just wish that the toilet was a bit taller. But overall a great hotel stay.

Friendly staff, Clean, quiet and warm breakfast. Great hotel to stay for families.

What is unique about this place is the rude front desk staff named Sandy who has no decency to respect their guests. She openly criticize third party reservation sites and directs her coworkers to refuse to give the standard room type (2 queen beds) booked on expedia. Instead of being polite and explain that the room type under my reservation is sold out, she claims that I won’t be getting the double queen beds because I am not a diamond member. Additionally, what they claim to be a KING bed is really just a QUEEN. That’s false advertising. As a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 childs 15 & 12) they placed us in a room for 2. Do not stay here if you want to have a horrific experience to ruin your holiday. I read later that there are bed bugs as well as unnecessary odors that guests can not overcome at this place. Do yourself a favor and book else where. The 30 minute check-in experience was the most nasty experience ever. Never bothered to inform me of the pool and breakfast. Expedia should end their contract with this place.

This is our hotel of choice whenever we are visiting family. We always enjoy our stay.
