Courtyard by Marriott Hershey Chocolate Avenue

Nice hotel very well located near Hershey Park. I would def not rate this one as family friendly but superb for the business traveler. Room was clean and quiet. Staff were a mix of excellent but also encountered folks who were bored out of their minds and had no problem showing that. If you have kids I wouldn’t recommend.

We stayed here for a cheer competition. Staff was very friendly. Clean rooms. The bartender was also the cook at the bar/lounge. Poor girl. Was swamped. She did amazing and was very apologetic. We were very understanding that she was doing a job as one for two people. Pool was open till 11 pm which my daughter thought was fabulous. We will be back next year again and will recommend to fellow friends and family.

This location was perfect for our New Year's Eve stay and conveniently located right off of Chocolate Avenue! Due to traffic we arrived after check in and did not make it to our dinner reservation, but thankfully The Bistro located right inside the lobby was still open and had plenty of space available for a sit down restaurant dining experience. The food was great and service was excellent! The heated pool was a plus after hours of travel and my kids loved it! The Hershey Kiss Raise was one major point of interest during our stay, which was less than 10 minutes from the hotel! Following our first night, which was quiet and relaxing, we had a tastefully filling breakfast and managed to make it to both The Tanger Outlets and Hershey Park which took less than 5 minutes to travel to from the hotel. Overall, we had an amazing time in Hershey and enjoyed everything about our stay and the amenities that were offered.

I throughly enjoyed this ultra modern hotel here in Hersey PA. Slept like a new born baby on their mattress. Room was spacious and very clean. Heated pool was lovely. Great exercise room to put in a nice workout in. I’d definitely pick this hotel again. 10/10

I did not like was the customer service at the bistro, the 2 girls were very rude & unprofessional. When I walked to try & place an order I was told in a huffy voice there would be a 25 min wait as she just fed 4 families prior to me & abruptly walked away. A second girl was making coffee & when I asked where I place my order, she threw her hands up & said she was too busy to help me. I went to the desk at guest services & informed her how rude her fellow employees were, she quickly ran over to the bistro area & I walked out in disgust! Secondly when I got home I noticed on my bill your facility charged me without my knowledge $20 per person in case I used any of their amenities! Which I did not! I called the facility & they said this was common practice! Needless Ito say I will never stay at a Courtyard at the Marriott again, & will inform my family & friends of my experience.

I like that its location was just close enough to the busier end of Hershey, Pa, but not so close. I disliked the unruly children who were running through the halls. There are simply not enough hotels that are accomodating to adults only, that would be amazing for those of us who can live without "family friendly" hotels.

The room was clean and had all the essentials in the room. The location was convenient to the Giant Center, which was great! The lack of an included breakfast and the children loudly running up and down the halls as well as parents screaming at their children were negatives. No walkable places for breakfast outside of the hotel. Parking was tight also.

Overall we would consider staying again. The only major downfall was the lack of food options for breakfast and dinner. The bar staff needs help. She was kind, however clearly stressed and uneducated to make drinks. The rooms are very nice, the lobby was used by many families, the pool quite small and fitness room adequate for a quick workout. There is no covered outdoor area when it rains as everything has an open patio style roof. The outdoor fire pit and seating area is beautiful when it’s not raining. Cushions should be put away when inclement weather is coming so it can be used when it’s dry out, but that wasn’t the case.

During the stay there was a fire alarm that went off and we sat outside for a couple hours while they cleared the building. Then the water was unavailable (no shower, no restrooms, no washing hands) until almost 10pm. After a long day driving the Hershey, my family had to deal with that. Worst of all they mentioned they would offer some type of discount or partial refund which was never processed for us. They mentioned they would do so after three different calls to the front desk. Each time I called there was a different response about the status of the refund. Next time we go to Hershey we'll stay somewhere else.
