Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Washington Square

We enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites. We like the extra space having a living area separate from the bedroom. Excellent made to order omelets in the morning make breakfast better than most hotels. Only complaint is that the housekeeping staff did not replenish the coffee and tea each day and we would have to request it from the front desk each evening. We stay at this hotel at least once a year and will continue to stay because of the convenient location to our family.

Pleasantly surprised on our stay here at the Embassy Suite. The room needs a little bit of touch up but overall we enjoyed it. The breakfast buffet selection is amazing. Location is pretty good close to the mall and restaurants. Couple things I didn’t like is the wait time on the elevator and that you have to pay for parking. But overall, the family and I really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again.

We LOVED our stay in every area that has to do with the property and company. The evening reception was fabtastic ajd the breakfast is way better than any other place we stay. Our complaint was with not knowing there were 4 little league baseball teams staying there. The kids were running laps and yelling across the atrium. They had a ballroom set up for them which never seemed to be used. Instead they were pretty much running a muck. One even poured soda on my daughters head from the third floor to the bottom where she was dishing up her snacks. I would have liked to see staff being more involved in getting the parents and coaches to stop drinking and managing their kids as it isnt their home where kids can just do whatever and not effect other people.

We love staying at this property. It’s very family friendly and close to a large shopping center. We can walk to Target or the mall. We enjoy the breakfast and the nightly reception.

Over all it was delightful, however there was one thing that stood out, and as silly as it may seem I have stayed with Hilton for years so this minor thing just kind of stood out, by no means is this a bad review but it definitely stood out when it came to something that would not normally go unmissed inside a Hilton. I checked in on a Friday evening, for a two night stay, which as I said was delightful but there was this glass, and this glass became a source of a vet with my two kids and myself, the bet was whether not it would still be there everytime we passed by a certain area. Needless to say I ended up losing the vet and taking two kids out for ice cream as payment, because they bet it would still be and I bet that it wouldn't. Well Saturday came and it was still there, then Sunday rolled around and it was still there, this glass was located on top of a trash can right outside the elevators, and there it stayed from the time we checked in to the time we check out. Now I am just impressed that even though the contents of the trash was emptied regularly that silly glass remained. Thank you Embassy for the great glass memories that you left my kids and I. The laughs and amusement we shared over it will last a lifetime in the just positive of ways.

Great family hotel with a small pool and hot tub for use. Room included breakfast and tapas at happy hour which is always a bonus. Great location, close to Washington Square shopping mall.

Place is old but it is kept clean and neat. Breakfast was awesome!! Great if you stay with a family

We like the overall experience however we thought the pizza stand was going to be open and it wasn’t. They had a large group of people staying at the hotel for a convention and they said the kitchen staff was too busy to open the pizza stand. Not sure where they have one ply toilet tissue in a hotel such as this. You would expect that at a motel six but not an embassy suites. When we booked reservation we were not aware that the pool and spa was not open. We did get an email a day prior to arriving at the hotel telling us the pool was closed for yearly maintenance. This would’ve been a really bad situation if we had children. We did not have kids so it was not a huge disappointment but When we booked the reservation I had planned on taking a swimsuit for the hot tub .
