Residence Inn Portland Airport at Cascade Station

Reserved an ADA room for myself (wheelchair user), my husband and his friend for my husbands bday/our last vacation before our baby comes. The first day we are told our accessible room was given away so I had to use the bathroom down the hall all day and night. The bed was way too tall for me to transfer on my own so my husband had to help my 7m pregnant self. And couldn’t bathe because I can’t get in and out of a tub. The second day we were switched to a better..ish…room. The bed is lower and more ADA compliant things, but the shower chair was broken and very unsafe. The chair at the pool to transfer people in and out was also not working, when I called ahead of time to varify they had one and it WORKED. We were told we could swim at a neighboring property, the front desk would give us a call when they set it up. No call or anything. So the ONE thing I wanted to do on my last vacation, I couldn’t. I’m not a happy pregnant lady, needless to say.

Great as always for myself & 2 kids visiting family in NE Portland for a few days. Pool, breakfast, a major department store on one side of the parking lot, PDX light rail stop on the other. We’ve stayed here a dozen times over the years, still our go-to.

Fully satisfied with our stay. The kitchen makes the difference for family as it limits us from dining out.

The room was fantastic. We loved that we had a full kitchen and separate bedroom & bathroom areas. Traveling with a toddler these things were very important to us. The pool area was nice. The breakfast wasn't bad and there were the usual choices you would see. I was happy to note that they had children's high chairs. The hotel is walking distance to shopping and we made use of the oven by cooking the pizza we got from Target. The only gripes we had were that the person across from us had what sounded like 2 large dogs that barked at everything and were left alone the majority of our stay. The other thing I didn't care for was that the gym area was way too hot for working out. The thermostat in the area was showing it was set to 70 but my Garmin recorded temperatures closer to 80 and there were not any fans. They did provide towels, water, and even headphones for the gym area which was above what I was expecting but it was just so dang hot in there that working out was miserable. We did not use the public transportation however, it is literally right there and available for your convenience. There were airplanes flying overhead but we only noticed them once. Overall, a good hotel and we would certainly stay there again.
