We stayed after arriving from Boston. This waywe could relax a bit for trip to the coast with some of our family the following day. Staff here was very friendly. Breakfast buffet had nice selection. We enjoyed mingling with other guests. More like a BandB atmosphere. Shuttle for airport was great as well .

We arrived at 12:30 a.m. with 2 children and had a confirmed reservation that they couldn’t honor and were rude and gave us no help to find another option to sleep.

We normally stay at The Hampton Inn and Suites wherever we go because we've always had great service. At this hotel, the staff were very helpful and assisted us with anything we needed. The continental breakfast was nice too. Our poor ratings come from the following: When we booked online, it showed amenities of having a pool. We booked our stay there specifically so our kids could swim during our visit; however, the pool was closed. The room we were given looked clean; however, it smelled bad, and the carpets need cleaned.

Unfortunately, the room smelled like dog or child urine, not sure if it was the carpet or the sofa? We had a 5am flight, so wasn't going to change the room. Slept with the a/c on and window open.

Our family enjoyed our night at the Hampton Inn. Made it so easy to arrive at Portland airport rested and on time for our early morning flight to Hawai'I.
