Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown Convention Center, an IHG Hotel

It was a wonderful visit with my kids.

Staff was excellent, great service. Nice room, bed comfortable, kids loved pool area. Great location for walking to our event at convention center. Highly recommend hotel.

Thank you for such a great experience! The staff, restaurant, room and pool were terrific and location to MODA center couldn't be beat...too bad the trailblazers were, but such a fun time and amazing first timecatva blazer game. Thanks for the awesome weekend! Rip City, baby!!!

Easy check in, good drinks, kids had fun at the pool

I booked the king suite for my family of 4 because it looked the biggest and said DOUBLE SOFA BED. I read a review that another woman booked the same room, and when she got to the room, SURPRISE! no sofa bed. I called the front desk (direct number) and asked about it. I spoke to a man and asked about the issue I had just read about. He confirmed that there are no sofa beds, but there are two couches. I was like okay, that works! As long as my kids had a place to sleep. We got checked in and went to the room……to see 1 couch that looked thin AF and about 4 other chairs. I immediately went down and brought up this issue (calmly) and said I either need a room with 2 beds OR a rollaway and extra padding on the couch bed. The guy who I was dealing with (balding red or strawberry blonde hair who doesn’t make eye contact) kinda scoffed at me and I let him know that I called directly and was told I would have 2 couches….NO LIE he told me “no you didn’t” I said yes I did, I can bring in all my notes with dates and time stamps (p.s. manage a hotel and I know these things happen, but you NEVER call a guest a liar) he was like “well, I’m not calling you a liar, but…you didn’t call us. You must have called the third party booking site”. I know for a fact I did not because it was a 503 number AND I said “hey, we will be walking to the Moda Center for a concert, how long is the walk?” He answered almost immediately “about 6 minutes”. Brown haired lady was very professional and took over.

Overall, I would stay here again if I was attending an event at The Rose Quarter. The staff was friendly, the shuttle was awesome, the food (2 breakfasts and 2 dinners) was very delicious, the little snack store was convenient, pool area was clean, and the walk to the Moda Center was short. I was under the impression there was a coffee shop in the hotel, however the only coffee available is drip with cream and sugar. The cleanliness of our room was not the best. There was a baby bottle full of milk behind the mattress, under where the pillows are, which made me question how my bed sheets were even changed. There was a long hair in the bathtub, fingerprints on the light switches, and liquid drips dried all down the dresser. Beyond those things, it seemed clean and smelled good.

Our room was dirty. There was hair all over the bathroom. The phone was broken. The fridge leaked everywhere- we called upon arrival and they said they’d send someone to fix it. Called again several hours later only to be told the maintenance person left and they’d come in the morning. No one EVER came and all the food I brought for my kids all spoiled. I’ve stayed here in the past and this was just unbelievable for a $180/night room.

I really enjoyed our stay. I had a minor problem where i was told there wouldn't be any stay over service done in my rooms, and they both got serviced and my childrens underwear and bra were taken. I also found garbage under a bed and a pair of someone elses socks in a drawer but other than that, overall it was good. The women who checked us in really did an awsome job, no one else at the front desk looked or felt welcoming or approachable

When we arrived there was a homeless man inside while I was checking in fighting with staff. Throwing food, trays and anything he can get his hands on. The guy checking me in swiped my card 3 times then said he wouldn’t charge me for parking for the whole incident. Which come to find out they did charge me on top of running my card 3 times and holding 75.00 3 times. My kids were so scared. We will not be Coming back
