Salishan Coastal Lodge

Beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Our room had a balcony with a nice view of the bay. Pretty nature trail connecting to Salishan spit, enjoyed morning run there, and a fantastic yoga class. Also enjoyed using the warm swimming pool and tennis courts with my kids. Spent some time with the kids searching for a glass float- didn’t find any but was fun to explore the grounds. Was great to be able to bring our dog with us also.

Beautiful location and family friendly!!

I took my family and dog down to Salishan and had a wonderful time! The staff was very friendly and welcoming and super helpful. I golfed three rounds course was fun and challenging and staff there was the same helpful and friendly. There are a lot activities basketball courts, tennis, zip lines! The lodge has an excellent restaurant and cafe. It’s about a 10 minute drive to the Ocean beaches and shops. Overall 10 of 10!! Highly recommended for a family getaway!

The floors in our room were very dirty. My babies feet were black from crawling around.

Our room was lovely. Clean and ready for early check in. But there was a half started toilet paper roll and no extra. Same with the tissues. It was at the end of the box so we had to call the front desk for toilet paper on our first day. The food was terribly over priced. And no one told me about the kids menu until our last day. So my 2 year olds meals were $20-30 when they could have been less than $10. The Provisions counter was ALWAYS left unattended! We had to wait upwards of 10 minutes for service. The biggest downfall of this place is the service!! Horrible service. Clearly the employees don’t care that guest pay $200+ per night and they all noticeably hate their jobs. The service level is bare minimum! From the front desk to the Provisions market to the wait staff at The Attic restaurant. EVERY employee just seemed irritated that they were at work. And they took out their frustration and lack of interest on the paying customers. Cold food, wrong orders, rude staff, lack of customer service are all reasons I say DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Secretly overpriced and you are treated as a burden, not a guest!!

The room was ok. Pretty dated. Pool and hot tube was fun kids. In the room there was no drinking water, instead your given 2 glass cups for water that you have to go outside in the cold and rain to fill up everytime you want it drink or make coffee. The Attic restaurant made us sick that evening, everyone had stomach aches.

Lots of positive experiences while staying at Shailshan. I was very pleased with our time and comfort. The front desk was amazing and helpful. They were very good to my child as well and she continues to talk about her stickers that she got to pick. Food: THANK YOU so much for having so many options for me (vegetarian & gluten-free!) I was over the moon with my options. Also: thanks for keeping the pool on the warmer side. While it was still a bit cold for me, I was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t worse. We will definitely stay here again. It hit all the marks.

We love staying here with our kids! There’s so much to do and we always have the best experience! Great memories.

We arrived at 4 PM, but they did not have the room ready until 5 PM. We just had to wait. We then asked for a late checkout, and they would only give 30 minutes (even though I told them the kids wanted to swim and we had a dog in the room). They told us to leave the dog in the car. The manager was simply too rigid. Its not like every room can be clean exactly at 11:30 am. Never have had this happen before. Most nice places I have stayed allow 1-2 more hours, especially since they didn't have our room ready on time to begin with. Second, the room service and dining options are not tasty, they could use a new menu and a new chef. Very bland, and not very fresh. I had planned to come back with my entire family, and even some friends for the golf. Will look elsewhere on the coast for that.
