Hampton Inn & Suites Portland/Hillsboro-Evergreen Park

This is a very nice and pleasent hotel. Most of the employees we met were kind and courteous. We made the trip from Seattle to Hillsboro because of a family emergency at the Hillsboro Medical Center and needed to book a room right away. I missed the fact that there is a $12 night parking fee and we had 2 cars due to this emergency so paid an additional $24. This is disclosed on the website but because of my anxiety and caring for my family, I missed reading it. I've rented many hotel rooms in my 68 years and this is the first time I have had to pay a parking fee. It was a major conversation with other couples that I spoke to on the elevator and dining room. What really burns me is that I could have parked on the road for free just outside of the hotel along with the truck and RV trailer did along with a couple of other cars and reception never told me this. I did not leave a tip for the cleaning staff as I think Hampton can pay them from the excessive $24 parking fee. I'm very disappointed in Hampton. The next night we parked for free at a competitor that was as comfortable as Hampton and a few dollars less.

The service and cleanliness were great but did not sleep due to children running up and down the hall at midnight and constant slamming of doors on the third floor. Also, there must have been 50 people in line for coffee/breakfast at 6 am. Why would that be?

My family and I enjoyed our stay. It was spacious, great breakfast selections, and friendly helpful staff.

Nice, safe, clean hotel. We were there over the weekend and there were lots of families with kids traveling for sports. Hotel allows dogs and there were several onsite. Nice area around to walk as it is on a dead end street with little traffic. Downside is that they charge $10 a day for parking. In their lot. Not in a city where there is high demand for parking.

The staff is the absolute best. Friendly, accommodating and cheerful! They even treated our pup to a snack upon arrival. The facility is so clean and the kids loved the pool. I loved the gym and the weights made it easy to get my workout in. 10/10 we'll be staying again!

It was close to family, shopping and restaurants

I booked a kingsize bed, not it wasn't available upon arrival. so we had to stay in a queen, which was very uncomfortable for us, because we have a young child who has to sleep between parents. breakfast wasn't replenished half an hour before breakfast closing time, so it was disappointing, because in my memory hampton inn's breakfast was always good and plenty. room was clean and location was good.

We stayed at this hotel while on vacation with our kids. It's in a beautiful area of town, very safe area. Our room was clean, the hotel was quiet, and we really enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff was very efficient, our check in/out was quick and smooth. Breakfast area nicely stocked. We definitely recommend this hotel for families.
