Holiday Inn Cleveland Northeast - Mentor, an IHG Hotel

I was disappointed that the condition of the carpet was so poor. it had a rip in the carpet between the beds that was annoying and also the lamp shade look like it was taken out of a dumpster. How unfortunate as this is my favorite place to stay when I visit the kids here in OH. I love how quite and comfortable the room always in when I stay here.

Clean, family friendly and nice breakfast

Only the lobby is updated. The rooms are outdated. No USB chargers in the rooms. Bed headboard is dirty, Lamp shades are dirty, broken tiles in the bathroom, the water did not drain in the shower. The elevator came to my floor and opened only half and got stuck. It is an expensive hotel but not worth the price. Staff is not so friendly either. No EV chargers on the property. The hotel housekeeping starting knocking at 8AM even after leaving a do not disturb sign. We told her to come back but she kept coming and knocking every hour and disturbing our sleep. Disrespectful staff. The hotel is very noisy and you can hear the next door neighbors through the walls. We were looking for a hotel to host a family reunion but the people are not accommodating. They are overpriced for no reason comparing themselves to five star hotels and not willing to lower prices. Would not recommend!

Furniture in the room slightly dated, crack in our mirror. Pool was nice for the kids. Breakfast was better than many other hotels.

Check-in was easy, the staff are very friendly, great breakfast and easy parking. Lots of places to eat and shop in the area. The beds are incredibly high and very difficult for children and older people to get in and out of. The hotel provided a step stool, which was very useful, but I did not feel safe having my child in a bed so high off the ground. The sink in the bathroom was also very high and difficult to use, especially with children.

Me and my family always have a blast. Great area. Things to do. Day and night entertainment.

This hotel was great. Comfortable beds and a nice stay. Our kids enjoyed the pool area. It is a long walk to some of the rooms, but the staff let us know what door and elevator to use for the quickest access to our room. Our only complaint would be that the signage for directing people to the amenities is lacking. My family needed a staff member to direct them all the way to the pool since there was an original sign with directions and then nothing after that point letting them know where to go. The staff was very helpful.

We had the King Suite with the living room area with the pull out couch. There is no bedroom door separating the bedroom from the living room. There is a door frame with woodwork for the door but no door. Basically meaning no privacy if you are traveling with your children and wanted to closed the bedroom door so that you can watch TV on the pull out sofa and you can watch it in your room. The pull out sofa needs a much thicker matress it was not comfortable for 13 year old. I layed on it and felt bad that she had to sleep on it. The king bed was very comfortable and roomy. I like that each room had its own ac. The room was very clean and had a pleasant smell upon entry. The staff were very friendly and provided an easy check in. The breakfast was nice and plentiful. The pool area was very nice and set at a great temperature. My only complaint was not having a door for the bedroom and the thin mattess on the pull out couch. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay.
