SpringHill Suites by Marriott Dayton South/Miamisburg

Rooms were large and offered good furniture options. Beds were comfortable and check in was friendly and accommodating for an extended check out while part of my family went to the amazing air force one plane museum

The staff was really nice and helpful, my family and I really enjoyed our night here. The breakfast was good and you had several options.

We had a nice stay here. The hotel is close enough to UD to be convenient, without paying the high prices of the the closer hotels. Our room was very clean and comfortable. I would suggest getting to breakfast early bc most items were gone by 9:30 am on a Saturday (waffle batter, oatmeal etc). The sound proofing in the hallway is poor so you will hear everyone as they walk down the hall. However, we never heard the people near us once they were in their rooms. It was no issue for us but might be an issue for lighter sleepers or those traveling with little ones.

Overall, the property is in good shape and seems to have had recent renovations which give an overall good impression. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Only issue was that there was no hand soap in the room. Their shipment was delayed a week, but simply supplying a bottle of hand soap for each room wouldn't set them back much financially and would assure overall hygiene. We used bath wash, which is fine, but seeing them take initiative to solve the problem would've been nice. Pool is quite small, which was unfortunate with several families checking in at the same time.

We chose to stay here because our stay at the chain in Georgia was excellent. Here, in Ohio, the rooms are recently renovated. So fresh, some are still getting their mirrors swapped out so they were on the floor in the hallways in the morning. Breakfast served some hot and cold items to please most people. The rooms are well appointed. Our children LOVE the option of the couch/trundle bed or the double bed for them to sleep (no more sharing). The beds are super comfortable and I got the best sleep. The only downside was that there were no handsoaps in the room. The GM said that he ordered a new one but delivery is taking longer than usual and that he cannot go and replace them with non vendor approved items (E.g., from nearby store). Some patrons had great difficulty with this. We, however, travel prepared and have soap and hand sanitizer. The shower has shampoo, body wash, and conditioner on the wall, so at least we had that.

The minute you walk in, you notice how sparkling and shiny the floor is The personnel who man the front desk are friendly and welcoming. My room was spotless, and for the most part, quiet. I was there for 3 nights, and on one of those, there was apparently a family with small children in the room over mine, so it was rather noisy for a short time, but nothing to keep me from going back there!

The outside grounds and inside lobby were well kept and clean. The pool was murky and smelled like fish. My kids did not swim as they couldn’t see their feet just standing in the water it was so foggy. The ice room had standing garbage and smelled horrible. The bathroom door in our room did not shut. The breakfast in the morning was good and the staff was very pleasant

Very nice hotel my 3 girls wanted to bring friends and stay the night to swim and to have a kids spa night very friendly staff my kids are already planning to come back next year to celebrate so we will be back in March 2025
