Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Dayton South - I-675, an IHG Hotel

The shelf the refrigerator sat on was all cracked up. The freezer in the little refrigerator leaked water. There was spots that looked like burn marks on the floor. One of my kids threw up and we were told to put the bedding in the hall and they would come back to get it. It was still there 2 days later at check out time. The lady at the front desk said she was wondering why it was in the hallway because no one said anything about it.

We moved out of the area but return regularly to visit family and this hotel is very convenient. The breakfast is good and the staff is helpful and friendly.

The breakfast bar was very inefficient and not great selection. The toaster is in a weird location and several pieces of equipment weren't working. They are currently doing a renovation, so some of the obvious problems--like the elevator button being held on by tape, will probably be fixed. There were no towels in our room when we checked in, so we asked a maid in the hallway. The next day, our towels were taken and only two were left for our family, so we had to ask again for more.

Lots of good things. Great staff ( but understaffed for how full the hotel was. The hotel was full of 8-14 year old kids in town for a sports competition and trashing the place faster than the staff could keep up. No USB ports in the rooms. The room was clean but 21st century prices demand a 21st century room. The mattress was terrible but the bedding was clean and nice. Great window blind! A big deal for me. The exterior trash receptacles on either side of the lobby entrance were overflowing from the time I checked in@6pm until I left at 11:39 am the next morning. Cigarette bits and trash at the lobby entrance. Breakfast service was very good and it was VERY busy. Job job staff.

This place was very quiet & clean. Nice hot tub & the pool water was warm. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was great. To top it all off, they are pet friendly, so you don't have to leave your furry baby at home. I would recommend for a nice stay. 🙂

The hotel was very well kept. The staff were very friendly and efficient and response to a problem with our tv was handled very promptly and professionally! The breakfast was very good and the staff taking care of the customers and the cleanliness of the breakfast room were top notch. We will definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to friends and family.

Close to familys

We stayed as a family 7/4/23. It was pleasant. The pros: Room 214 was clean, thoughtfully laid out, there was a Dove soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser in the shower, beds were comfortable; breakfast was good (eggs, sausage, pancakes, etc.); property looked well maintained, location felt safe; and the employees were pleasant and professional. The cons: weed smell in hall and elevator; a straight black hair in the sink (and none of us have straight black hair); only two towels and washcloths for a family; no fan in the bathroom; AC barely worked all night--after all night on 60, the thermostat finally managed to get the room to 74 degrees--for us, that was a hot night. All considered though, we thought the pros outweighed the cons, and we'd come again.

The property is tucked back and away from the highway and traffic and is very quiet. It is also located about a 5 minute drive from Main Street centerville witch is a perfect town to spend the evening with friends or family. The restaurant Agave Rye is Awsome!

The trip was very enjoyable. It was nice to get away. However, there were way too many children on this particular day in the hotel. They must’ve been having a children’s birthday party because there were at least 30 kids from the pool to the hot tub. Making it very hard for an adult to just relax. So I only got to spend about 20 minutes in that area.
