Holiday Inn Express Akron NW - Fairlawn, an IHG Hotel

The sheets didn’t fit the bed. So every time you turned over the sheet pop off and then you would see the mattress pad. On my kids bed when I woke up this am the sheet came off bed. And u could see mattress pad that had dry blood spots on. It wasn’t from them. Drain in bathroom was close so no water could go down drain. My bf fix that. The bed were hard. The staff was friendly when I went to check out there was nobody at the front desk for over 10 minutes they stick a sheet of paper that says please sign and turn at the front desk. But when I get to the front desk he said oh we don’t need that. That’s your receipt. For the amount of money I paid it was not positive experience. A couple of months ago I stayed at another Holiday Inn express and it was way better. So it’s quite disappointing

The staff was beyond incredible! They were so kind and friendly. Some of them even had me laughing. I really felt like family there. They were very clean as well. They fixed our toilet which was broke when I got there but again, when we came back it was fixed. The only issue I had was the door. It wouldn’t shut easy. I had to use a little force to shut and open it. But honestly, everything else was incredible. I would have no problem staying there again in the future.

The room had a slight musty odor when we arrived as if a pet may have been with a previous occupant. Not extremely unpleasant, but noticeable. We sprinkled baby powder to mask. Overall, our stay was very pleasant and the staff was extremely courteous, professional and helpful.
