La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bismarck

The pool was nice & warm. The pool has a separate shallow area for little kids. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very nice & helpful. I checked in ahead of time and really liked that option. It makes it faster when you get there. I also like the emails and texts from the hotel to welcome you.

We booked this very last minute as our vehicle had broken down while passing through. We showed up with nothing and the nice lady checking us in gave us planets of soap and toothbrushes, toothpaste. We appreciated the little things as we had nothing. The room was adequate for our family of 5. We breakfast was good as well.

The toilet seat was coming loose in my room 308. I did mention it on check out and the counter gal immediately wrote it down...so hopefully maintenance was just as quick repairing it. Both check in gal and check out gal were friendly and efficient! Nice hot tub and the kids looked like they were having a good time in both pools.

There was no one at front desk for about 5 minutes when we arrived, but when he arrived, he was quick and friendly. Later, when we needed assistance with our tv (because something had been disconnected) he was the same person to come fix, so I think he was shorthanded and doing the best he could. Anyway, the room was nice and breakfast was good. My kids absolutely loved the pool and indoor splash pad. The only thing negative I would say is I noticed lots of large stains on the carpeting throughout the hotel. Could really stand to be shampooed or replaced. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Location, staff, breakfast, and cleanliness were all great. Pool was a great size as we had 5 kids with us. They enjoyed themselves.

The rooms were nice the pool was kid friendly. The GM went above and beyond when being checked in. He was absolutely the best part of this stay. He was very knowledgeable about the area. He had clearly been working a long day and did not let that get him down or affect his customer service. He is truly an asset to the company.

Clean (but bathrooms need work in regard to staining and the sealing that’s been eaten away by time), quiet, and very family friendly including dog members. One thing that bothered me was the condition of the pull out couches - they’re terrible for anyone over 60lbs - but fine for children on the slender/smaller size (my daughter is 10 and rather slender/skinny so it didn’t bother her and she’s about 60lbs, but any adult or teen would have major aches and pains the next day as it’s at most 3in. thick and very worn).

Some of the recent reviews about dirty rooms, cold showers and pool issues had me concerned, but I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean and the a/c worked well without being obnoxiously loud like some places I’ve stayed. The shower water was plenty warm and stayed that way for everyone’s shower. The pool doesn’t have the slide any longer, but I had read that on another review and expected as much. The temp of the pool was fine and my kids enjoyed it. I was bummed that the hot tub was having issues and this blocked off, but that happens and was only a slight inconvenience. The staff at the front desk were very nice and attentive and the hallways seemed pretty clean to me. Overall it was perfect for our 1 night stay and all the concerns that I had from recent reviews were non-issues.

My family and I have stayed here 3 times so far and it has been great every time. My kids love the pool and I love the cleanliness of the hotel. This is our go to hotel when we are in Bismarck.
