Hampton Inn Wilmington - University Area/Smith Creek Station

The property was great around and inside the hotel. It had a great spot for dogs. The room had some issues. We found a spider under one of the pillows. The bathroom didn’t have a working vent and the toilet handle would get stuck at times; causing the toilet to constantly run. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was extremely friendly. I would recommend this hotel if you have a dog and for family’s to stay.

I really loved this hotel. I highly recommend it for many reasons. First, the hotel is very clean and in a safe area. I had no concerns about parking my car in the lot or walking through the parking lot between 12-2 am when I arrived. Second, check-in was easy and the staff was friendly and helpful. Third, the room was clean, quiet, and spacious. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the air conditioner worked well. The room was very nice. Fourth, the coffee was available 24 hours a day in the lobby, and the hot breakfast was good enough. Sausage, bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, toast, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, juices, and milk. These were not all served daily, but there seemed to be something new each day. I thought this was a nice touch having different options each day. Fifth, the bar was quiet and served some decent beer (in bottles or on tap), and had an assortment of liquors one could buy. They also had a nice patio where a person could go outside and enjoy drinks or take their own food with friends or family. Sixth, I used the gym every day that I was there (to work off that breakfast). The gym seemed to be open 24 hours (but I don't know this for sure) but what I know is that when I wanted to use it- it was open. Inside the gym were 3 treadmills, a couple of ellipticals, an exercise bike, and some free weights. Inside the gym, small towels were supplied along with cold water and a television. GREAT GREAT property.

The folks working at this hotel were friendly and courteous. The place was clean and well maintained. The breakfast area was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was good and made the whole experience of staying with family easy
