Best Western Lumberton

My children and grandchild checked in late. We were exhausted. I went to put drinks in the fridge to find a box of leftover Chinese food. My daughter went to collapse on the bed, to find something nasty on the pillow. It stunk like feces. We wanted the smell gone and tried to wipe it off before tossing the pillow aside. The sheets were not tucked over the mattresses very well. When we went to turn back the covers, ripped mattress pads were exposed. The exposure on my bed revealed a nasty brown stain. I tried to call the front desk, but our phone did not work (it was plugged in). We talked with the front desk that night, again the next morning, and when we checked out. Things were written down, I showed them pics, and was told I would be contacted. I was not contacted and nobody cleaned our room per our request on Saturday. We had my chihuahua with us. I was charged $40 for pet fee and I have $40 more pending after I checked out!

As a family traveling with a large pet , the surrounding area was kept clean. Property was well maintained. The breakfast was good and convenient. Room was spacious and clean. Would stay again as a stop from a long road trip.

Just the right for our family. Just right off interstate great for an over night syay as we traveled through to our destination.

The room was newly remodeled and was very nice. The pillows are amazing and the room was very spacious. It was just what we needed for the 5 days we were there spending time with family! We will definitely be staying here again!

Room was dirty, trash had not been removed when we arrived. Bugs, hair, dirt. If you are looking for a clean place for your family to spend the night this is NOT the place. Keep looking. I hope this review helps another parents not take their kids here. My skin is itching justo writing this.

This was the WORSE hotel I've EVER stayed in! My family and I spent a night here for labor day weekend. When we got back to our room to lay down for the night out of no where there was the biggest water bug/roach I'd ever seen in my life. My husband and out went to the front office to complain. As soon as we opened the door there were waterbugs/roaches running all over the sidewalk. Once we got to the front office the lady at the desk had the nerve to rude and tell us she wasn't going to argue with us and it was ONLY a waterbug. The manager was callednand we were moved to a different room and given a "discount." I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Keep driving and find another!

When we arrived at the property there were mattresses laying outside in the parking lot. We also noticed multiple people smoking and drinking in the parking lot. Not somewhere we wanted to stay with a family. We did not stay the night, cancelled our and we’re still

I'm not sure how this hotel has received such high ratings. It's a 2-star hotel, and we weren't expecting anything fancy. But it was a huge disappointment. I'm not sure if this is advertised but this hotel has doors that open to the outside. Had I known, we not have made a reservation here. The hotel room was dingy (lumpy pillows/old blankets) and the bathroom was tiny. But none of this would have mattered much if the floor had been clean. It felt dirty on our bare feet and after walking around for a few minutes, our childrens' feet were black. I would have asked to switch rooms, but I assume that the carpets were equally dirty in all of the rooms. We put down blankets and towels - it was THAT bad. This fact alone made our entire stay terrible and we will not stay here again.
