Hilton Garden Inn Outer Banks/Kitty Hawk

It’s newly refurbished so that was very nice. Other guests were very happy with the hotel and it really suited families with small kids. We were only passing through that part of the OBX so it was one night. The check in staff were lovely. On checkout my partner noticed one of the fish in the fish tank had a hugely swollen eye and kept slamming it into the glass. It looked really painful. She went to the desk and the gentleman was very curt. She then went to the manager and she was equally curt. She said that the issue was known to the person managing the fish and they were not allowed to have anything else to do with it. That was understandable but she curt, impatient and unfriendly again. Maybe they should understand that people are going to enquire and thank them. I recommend that they reach out again to ensure that the eye treatment is being attended to. We left the hotel with that unpleasant encounter as our memory of it.

Nice family resort on the beach

The hotel is a great family friendly option that makes getting on and off the beach very convenient and the pool is fun for everyone to be able to enjoy time in the water when not on the beach.

We had a pleasant stay and will definitely recommend to all our family and friends.

Very accommodating especially with our baby. Staff was over all pleasant. Surrouding area was peaceful and lots of food options accross the street

Good for family

We loved that there was pier so close by. The outdoor pool was fun for the kids and the beach was outstanding! We had to check out of a different motel prior to arriving to Hilton due to a bad experience, and the staff was able to get us checked in early and was so helpful throughout our stay. We will definitely stay at this fabulous hotel again!

Very nice stay at Garden Inn with family, room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel is located on the beach next to pier and was awesome vacation. Food at the hotel restaurant was nothing special neither breakfast or lunch and prices were in accordance with quality offered. Stuff was very friendly and helpful if asked.
