Hampton Inn by Hilton Smithfield Selma

The front desk staff & housekeeping were exceptionally pleasant. I never fill out reviews, but I had to with this review bc I was extremely happy with everything there, & will be staying there again from now on when visiting my family. I def recommend this hotel to anyone staying with or without children. It’s a great family friendly hotel!

As a rooming representative for a large non profit organization who has reviewed many properties I can honestly say this was one of the cleanest. Clearly the property manager is caring for housekeeping activities in a fine manner. Areas that often are neglected, corners, ice machine rooms, hallways, all were outstandingly clean and well kept. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends and family.

Receptionist at the time had the main door locked upon check-in. I left came back then was able to get in after waiting for her to unlock the main entrance door. Very rude, disrespectful, childish behavior vy lll

This hotel had a feature I’ve longed for literally for decades but never found. Now granted, I hadn’t traveled in a while, so maybe it’s commonplace now, but it was nonetheless joyous. The rooms had, yes, as we who’ve traveled have yearned for, an actual roll down, light-blocking shade!! Yes, it was amazing!! I didn’t have to rig up some system of towels and a phone book to try and block out a GD streetlight or a Chuck E Cheese. I was overjoyed. I think I even cried. Then, I slept like a baby, and enjoyed a hot breakfast. This place was expensive but so worth it. An effortless night and morning. Thank you, staff and management!

We stayed one night on our way back from SC. It is a very nice hotel and had an indoor pool, just what my kids were looking for. The breakfast was also good and staff was friendly. I would stay here again.
