Terrible customer service. Keep reading for details. My wife and two kids booked this room through Expedia to avoid a long drive after a concert. I called the hotel night before to ensure the room would accommodate the 4 of us and was assured it would. When we arrived that night to check in, we were greeted by front desk attendant that made no eye contact and simply asked for my name and ID. After providing it, she spend about 5 minutes typing on the computer with a disgusted look on her face before saying, “you overbooked the room”. I let her know we booked it for four people as it said. Based on her accusatory sound that we did something wrong, my wife had to immediately remove herself from the counter. After another 5 minutes of typing, the front desk person said we’ll just rebook it since you overbooked it the first time. I said, “fine, as long as my money is refunded from Expedia.” I have her the total room cost and she proceeded to re-book the room. To my surprise, she charged me twenty dollars more than the number had just informed her I paid by Expedia. When I questioned why I was not being charged more for the same room, she said it was taxes. I showed her the receipt that the number I gave her included taxes. Her response, “there’s nothing I can do, you chose to book through Expedia.” I immediately told her to refund any charges and I’ll take care of canceling Expedia. Not many hotel options in Clayton and this one is nice. I have stayed here on several occasions when I visit family in Flowers area. I like that way the rooms are sort of divided. I once had to book a jacuzzi room. My granddaughter thought it was a hoot that the bathtub was in the middle of the living room. The hotel has breakfast and if i listed all they had it would sound like a nice breakfast but it isn't actually. There isnt much variety or quantity put put...so while they have doughnuts, they one have one flavor. While they have muffins, only one flavor. While they have bread for toast, only wheat. I really can't explain what I mean. They have the basics but it just feels lacking.

Stayed here while visiting my children in Clayton. The sleeper sofa is perfect for family staying the night in the hotel as extra guest. The hot breakfast in the morning is good and helps in not having the extra expense of going out for breakfast. The hotel is in a great location. It is about halfway between downtown Raleigh and the outlet mall in Smithfield.

Nice quite location for families. Coffee all day and a hot breakfast in the AM.
