Great hotel, pool, restaurants, option to rent bikes and staff. I went on a weekend for a mini staycation. Wanted to hang out by the pool all day because the sun was finally out. Seems everyone had the same idea. It was very crowded and I couldn’t get a sun lounge chair. A ton of people and kids. Other than that was a great stay.

The hotel was beautiful. We had an issue getting our dinner and had to wait 2 hours for our food which was tough with kids but the server who delivered it was very nice and helpful. We figured the hotel was busy with the dinner crowd so we didn’t push it too much. Overall our stay was great. We especially loved the cafe with games and a lounge area which was great for breakfast with the family.

Great hotel! Very clean and beautiful. Good food options. Amazing pool area that is pretty shallow so perfect for families. Strong pina coladas at the pool bar! Gorgeous grounds with fun outdoor area with lawn games. And it was very empty, uncrowded! Golf course is super nice too with tons of tee times even on a holiday!

Excellent resort with amazing staff!! Great golf and spa getaway with the wife. First time away from the kids. It was wonderful. Food at the resort was great. Only complaint is local food restaurants are all like 20 mins away.

If I could give zero stars I would. We felt very unsafe due to yelling and fighting at midnight in another room across from us. We just decided to check out a day early. Reported it to security but still heard noise afterwards. And the walls are so thin, you can hear the doors open and shut throughout the night…which equals zero sleep. Customer service was terrible, my husband was hung up on when he called the front desk for room service. Entire hotel is non-smoking, but there were people smoking weed outside and people coming out of elevators smelling like cigarette smoke. Pool was ok until they allowed a 13 year old kid party outside, and so the relaxation went out the window with the noise and extra music they decided to play. The restaurant messed up 2 omelets in a row during breakfast for my husband. Front desk needs some serious training - the guy who checked us in didn’t seem to care much or make the experience inviting, and the manager didn’t even talk to us when we checked out (she purposely ignored us and had the other front desk worker tell us what she said). This spot is very overrated. Highly recommend that you find somewhere else to stay!

We have attended several meetings at the Grandover but hadn't stayed there before. We booked a junior suite plus rollaway bed for our family of four and it was plenty big enough and comfortable. The bathroom doesn't have a fan and the lighting away from the bathroom is not good for makeup but the shower was strong and the amenities were nice. The fitness center is adequate for a short stay-any longer and one would need to find a full size gym. The pool is pretty but the water was a little cold. We didn't get to golf. The big negative came from the main restaurant. We went there for breakfast and it was a fiasco from tables not being set up, having to wait a ridiculously long time for our food and the food descriptions on the menu were not consistent with what got. Management addressed our concerns adequately but we didn't eat at the hotel again. This is the other negative. It's a 10-15 drive to get anywhere. If you want to just hang at the resort and eat overpriced, slow food that is fine, but otherwise plan accordingly.

Always wanted to visit and stay at the Grandover Resort since my 3 children attended Chapel Hill and I get to pass the beautiful and imposing building on the way. The resort met all my expectations.
