Drury Inn & Suites Greensboro

The positive: the staff was SO friendly! We felt very welcome, and they were always smiling. The high floor suite was very spacious and our beds were comfortable. They gave us a roll away bed so my kids didn’t have to share the pullout couch, and that was awesome. Air conditioner worked great, and our room was nice and cool in the night. The negatives: There were a lot of homeless people lurking around the parking lot. They had locked the doors during the happy hour (I guess to keep out the lurkers outside?), but my husband had a hard time finding a way in to check in, and he was harassed by a man outside who was trying to follow him into the building. There was also A LOT of street noise at night. Revving engines, sirens, etc… good thing I had some ear plugs! The gas station across the street was $1 more expensive than all the gas stations in the area… don’t get gas there! The breakfast was ok, but they didn’t replenish things very fast and it was gone so fast every time they refilled it because everyone was waiting for food. They never filled the muffins back up. Also the bathroom floor had no mats so it was VERY slipper when wet, but sticky when dry. If it were just the staff and the room size, we would come back, but the location made us feel a little unsafe.

I typically love Drury Inn and Suites. There seems to be one wherever each of my four children live, so I feel like I can say that I frequent them. I usually stay at the one in Burlington several times a year. That one was sold out so I decided to try the one in Greensboro. I will never do that again. The first night the room stunk so badly of smoke but I didn't want to complain then there was crazy amounts of noise throughout the hotel until 3:00 am. So the next morning I requested a room change. The two ladies at the desk were wonderful and got me a new room One of them was Nicole. Extremely personable and efficient. The new room stunk as well but it was quieter, so I dealt with it. The next day Nicole informed me that she had comped my first night because it was so awful. I was so very appreciative of that gesture. I have now been home three days and there is no comp on my charge card. So to wrap up, the entire hotel was sub par and the employees should only say things they actually mean because all misinformation does it make it worse.

I had a great day I only had one problem. They have no security by the pool area adults and children who were not staying at the hotel were jumping over the gate to get in the pool and it was just disgusting they even left a 6 month old baby out in the sun for hours not cool so if you stay there mention that to the front desk.

The staff made us feel like family, so nice and way fancier than I expected. They had a 3 course dinner that was great and it was free.

The staff was great. Food was delicious. Felt safe inside. When we first arrived felt unsafe due to a guy was hanging around outside trying to get money and a ride from us; two women with two small children. At the pool area was a family that got into the pool area without room keys. First was just two or three and then about ten in total. Don.t believe they were staying a the hotel. Over all we had a great stay.

I would absolutely recommend staying here. Extremely clean, great location, yummy breakfast and dinner that was included, and family friendly. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic.

The hotel would not allow an early check in as alot have that I have stayed in. There was a roach in my room, and went to use the hot tub where there was a bunch of kids occupying the space and the hotle did not come in to clean up all the dirty towels that overflowed from the bin to every chair inside and out plus the food and plates that layed around from the  hors d'oeuvres. I have stayed at 2 different Drury Inns which were phenomenal. This particular one I would not stay in again.

My family has stayed at a lot of hotels in our travels and this was hands down the best one we have ever enjoyed! The staff was amazing, food excellent, and overall we absolutely loved it!! Five stars all the way!!

We enjoyed our stay while visiting family in town over the weekend. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast selection was quite varied!
