Hilton Garden Inn Durham Southpoint

Pretty disappointing as a Hilton property, will not stay here again, ever. Water leaked through the walls of the bathroom and soaked all of our bags that were on the floor next to the bed. Only water was scalding hot, terrible for a bath for our toddler. On the morning of checkout housekeeping decided to just walk into the room before 10:00 AM, no knock, no warning, just walked in on us getting dressed. The only pleasant part about this stay was the front desk and bar staff, they were top notch.

When we arrived at midnight the front desk person said there would be no hot water from 10-4 but didn’t offer any other type of compensation besides to go somewhere else… well it was midnight so I couldn’t find another hotel at that hour and my family was tired from flying all day. So I got up before 10am to try to shower before they turned the hot water off and low and behold there was no hot water. When I asked the front about it they swore up and down they weren’t shutting it off til 10 but that was not the case. So the next day again no hot water between 10-4 but no compensation offered. Again I got up at 6am to shower and still no hot water!! So at this point I’m being lied to. Finally I checked out of my reservation and still nothing was offered for the major inconvenience of not having any hot water even though I was up before the scheduled cut off time! I am pissed because I had to pay full price for a less than quality stay!!!!!

Great location for family visit based on the helpful staff, the fact the room was serviced with towels during out stay and the great store and dining offerings if we needed it.

There was a team there who were COMPLETELY EGREGIOUS. The noise was deafening and the kids were running the hallways. There were also no repercussions or adults present. Not sure if the staff handled it but it was horrible for at least 2 hours
