Courtyard by Marriott Chapel Hill

My family and I were thrilled with the hotel. Room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. When we got off the elevator we saw our room was the first door, and maybe we got lucky with considerate guests, but it was still a quiet night's sleep. We appreciated the front desk giving us all the bottled water we needed or wanted--seems like many places would charge you for that. Finally, the hotel is literally across the street from the Friday Center which was convenient for picking up a bus to take us to the Smith Center. Will return again.

Our grandson was having surgery at UNC childrens hospital. The hotel was a short drive. Awesome frontWould definitely stay here again.desk staff. Very clean and the beds were comfy.

Lobby was attractive. Room spacious but nothing special. Bar service was just okay had to go pay &get my own drink from lobby area because bar tender walked away Bathroom not luxurious at all . Bottles of toiletries mixed up - conditioner was in body wash bottle. Woman who checked me in was wonderful. She upgraded room when she could not get me on same floor as my friend who was in town for my family members funeral. Staff the next day Saturday 14th not good. 1st staff person at front desk on personal call( loudly) when we came down for breakfast. Attendant at where you buy breakfast was late and we had to wait 30 to 40 min. Only had coffee available .Breakfast not included with stay. If you prepay through a booking company show verification as the hotel may not honor unless you do The second staff person I dealt with at front desk did not honor or take my word for it and said he did not have auth to discount due to wait . Went off site for breakfast. I spent w much time trying to get it straightened out through Expedia cs. I was assured it would be straightened Monday. . I heard back from Expedia on Monday and the hotel said there was no record of a complaint and that they would not refund the $20.which is a small amount of money but really about principal at this point. Due to the terrible customer service from the front desk attendant on Saturday I would not choose to stay at this hotel or give Marriott any further business unless there was no other choice.

My family and I stayed here for a NCU / Notre Dame football game. The hotel is in a convenient location to get to the stadium. The hotel was very clean and pleasing. We stayed one night and we got lucky because it was quiet. We would stay here again.

The property is a few miles away from the UNC/Chapel Hill campus. It's very convenient. The staff does a wonderful job - clean and welcoming. A great place to stay - we have stayed multiple times since visiting a family member attending UNC.
