Hotel Alice

it had its pluses and minuses the main two minuses was all the kids that stayed there i had to keep,closing the door on the first floor i couldnt sleep too loud. the second was silverfish i saw a few killed em but waqsnt sure if they were in my clothes or not s as soon as i got home clothes in the washer asap. plus rooms looked nice and the shower was nice

It was a very nice stay, the only down fall is all the fees, especially fees around parking and early checking. Not too expensive, but why the parking fee? I have been to so many other beaches along the North Carolina OBX, and they do not charge a fee to park in a parking lot where you have already paid for to stay at. I feel that is a little bit much. The early check in, I can understand to a point, however, visiting other areas, especially the Nags Head, and the Hatteras area, if I arrive early and they have a room already cleaned they will go ahead and give me that room, not make me wait until check in time which is normally 3:00 pm. I usually arrive between 12:00 and 1:00 pm. As I did when I arrived here on Thursday. If no rooms are available, they let me leave my car in the parking lot, (never have I been charged a fee for parking there in any of the Hotels I have ever stayed at) and in addition I can use their common room where they always have complimentary coffee, tea, and juice, you can go ahead and walk to the beach, use their pool etc. until your room is ready. They will text you as soon as a room is ready for you. The hospitality is so much better. They tend to make you feel more like family guest rather than it is just a business and you are a room number. In Hatteras or Nags Head, you are treated as a “Guest” giving the best of hospitality. I am not saying the stay here, was unpleasant, the hotel was nice, however, I am a guest not a room number.

The hotel is very clean and a short drive to Morehead City. Our double bed room also included a software bed, which was great since I traveled with 2 kids. The hotel is literally a 7 minute walk to the public beach and we saved a lot of money by not staying in a beach-front hotel. Parking is free and spacious. The best part was the late checkout accomodation - for around extra $80 we were able to checkout at 15:00, which allowed us to have an extra day at the beach, come back to the hotel to shower, and depart without rushing. I recommend booking a late checkout upon arrival and not the day your leave. Definitely recommend.

Overall they place is pretty decent. The front desk could be friendlier. When I arrived and checked in I didn't get any info I got handed my cards. Their was only one front desk girl who didn't seem to mind when you had to go ask for more towels for the room. The beds were not bad but for the look of hotel I was expecting a much more comfortable bed. My room was clean but there was sand all over the floor and my childrens feet were noticeably dirty after being there for 5 minutes. The one elevator was not working properly.

This was a family friendly location. Breakfast is not included. The room felt tight due to the layout but not the biggest issue since we didn’t really use the room but to sleep. The hotel remodel is nice in the lobby area but once you get to your floor it stopped short from removing the popcorn ceiling. I would definitely stay at this site again. Easy access to the beach. The front desk staff were very courteous.

This hotel was very nice and clean and super affordable for the area. Beach access is literally a crosswalk away. The room was clean and spacious. Parking was easy and accessible. The pool was lovely. Guest services were friendly and available if needed. This hotel is great for families as well. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay here. Nicely updated and helpful staff. Quick walk to the beach for adults but stuff gets heavy especially on the way back for the kiddos so pack accordingly or have a cart to pull your stuff. We were prepared so no issues and enjoyed every moment of our stay!

For a family of 4 it was perfect spot for vacation. We got there early and asked if it was okay to park and walk to the beach since it’s a 2 min walk. Our check in wasn’t until 4 and we got there about 12pm. To our surprise the lady at the front desk said of course we could and while waiting to be checked in we could also use the pool and bathrooms for anything. That was amazing to us because most hotels don’t allow that til time of check In. Once 4 o cook hit we checked in with no problem and hassle free. Staff was very friendly ! We loved that the beach was right across and that parking was great. We ordered pizza from dominos which was delivered right up to our room. More plus sides was that the aquarium was 5min drive away and the stores were also a 2min drive away for anything! Oh and the price!!! We stayed one night and got an amazing deal of $100 per night! Definitely couldn’t beat that!!!! We are coming back this summer and booking early for some great deals !!!!!

My stay was incredible , the suite was so beautiful , and quiet . Amy and Susie did everything to make my stay as enjoyable as possible . My coffee maker didn’t work , when I woke up. I called down to Susie and within 5 minutes coffee was brought up , to my room. I. The coofee was served on a small very decorative cutting board with lots of sugar / sweet n low, and many creamers . I have shared my amazing experience at Hotel Alice,with my family when they visit from the north. So I can make sure their vacation is very enjoyable. I can’t thank Susie enough and Amy as well. A very quiet and friendly place, the rooms very spacious and clean. Ideal for families and the ideal location near the beach.
