Great staycation with the grandchildren

We are in Staten Island for a family wake and funeral. We arrived early as traffic was lighter than expected. We were told we would have to pay $25 to check in early. Outrageous!!! I have NEVER stayed in a hotel that made such a disgusting demand. I will NEVER stay on any if your properties again and will be sure friends and family know why. Shame on you. We weren’t starting our vacation, we were burying our sister.

The staff scrambled to get us an early check in which was appreciated as we came in on a red eye and were beat by 1:30. We relaxed in the comfy lobby that is very friendly to travelers and for gatherings. However, after waiting for “our room type” (king suite) to open, we were still placed in a standard king room in the end. Pics were not like online it was a different layout with no ammenities. Too tired to deal with it… but when family checked in a day later; they had the exact room as we had booked and I knew from the size that we had definitely been downgraded due to the fact that front desk staff said they had been sold out and overbooked!!!

Clean room but old. No pen or paper which I always use. Mattresses in both rooms were very soft and the shower wash was empty which I discovered while showering. Screaming babies next door kept us awake all night so make sure not to get a connecting room when you require one for your family but someone else gets it, not your family. We heard screaming and yelling all night long. We’re exhausted

The staff were very friendly. The room was spacious. The hotel was clean. Nice pack & play provided. No restaurant at the hotel (free breakfast which was surprisingly good), have to walk across parking lot to Hilton for their restaurant. But the biggest knock. Our room faced a highway so that was loud enough. But there was some sort of event going on in/near the hotel. Music blaring til 2 am. We (myself, wife, 2 kids) got zero sleep that night. So loud the hotel was literally vibrating from the bass. Insane that this was allowed to occur/continue. If it wasn't for the noise, this would've been a positive review, but I can't possibly give higher than 2 stars because you stay at a hotel to sleep so you can enjoy the rest of your trip. And we got no sleep.

There was no pool as advertised by expedia which made for a very sad group of children. The hotel was extremely busy making the free breakfast unbearable at times.

We came to NY for a family funeral. Our stay was comfortable and much needed after a long trip from NH.

I was disappointed that I booked two queen beds and got full size beds. I paid almost $250 per night for three nights. The front desk said they were queen but I measured and they weren’t. I was a family with children and was given two wash clothes when asked for more they said someone will bring more up and never did.

The check in it was easy because Luisa she was amazing! The price is almost double that other ones close to the airport and I prefer this one because my family resides in Staten Island But My whole floor was smelling like marihuana At the elevator in the night was going up and down people with beer but smelling like was drinking for days I used to stay in that hotel I don’t feel secure anymore
