Perfect central location for seeing everything that NYC has to offer. Only a few blocks from Grand Central and Times Square. Perfect if you're traveling with teens. Two double beds was a little 'cozy' for our family of four but it was affordable and we made it work for the short trip.

We came to New York City after an emotional family gathering at West Point for our dad. This was the best place to relax afterwards, close to everything we wanted to visit; shopping, MOMA, Broadway. The food (omgosh, the breakfast buffet!) and an evening glass of wine were beyond excellent, and the staff is literally the best, beyond compare. I truly cannot say enough about the staff... Love the international feel in the lobby, I am certain I heard at least 7 different languages being spoken! The room was very clean and comfortable, and the bed linens warm enough on a low 20's New York January snowy week! We can't wait to return and will stay at the Barclay again for certain!

We came for a family Birthday and Christmas vacation. The stay at Barclay was very pleasant. All round it was of high cleanliness and standard. The breakfast was quite good. Staff were very friendly, polite and accommodating to our needs and requests. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The Christmas dinner was lovely but overly priced in my opinion, Michelin price but not to that standard. Still the overall experience was great. The location is perfect near the main attractions and close the Grand Central Station so easy to get around. Will happily come and stay here again with my family.

The hotel really felt short considering its price. The room we got was an acessible room that wasn't spotless cleaned. There was hair in the shower and the carpet had a strong wet/mold smell which made me have allergy to it. Also, we requested a crib for our 1-year old baby upon the reservation and to our surprise the crib wasn't there. It took almost 2 hours for them to deliver the crib to the room, after us calling the reception over 4 times to ask about it. It has affected our baby sleeping schedule. Not bad enough, the crib was really poor quality and small...I wished I had brought my travel crib honestly. Our room was located on the 4th floor near the elevator, so it was very noisy at night with people walking down the hall, talking, and general noise. I'm really disappointed at this hotel and definitely not coming back! Not recommended; you can probably find better options at this price point.

Do not recommend this hotel. My wife and I were very disappointed. The staff was so rude upon arrival and very lost. We chose this hotel because of IHG and also because they claimed to have electric car charging stations on site which we discovered upon arrival was false. They had no idea what we were talking about and once they finally realized they said the manager would come speak to us which never happened. Then they said to leave our names at the front desk and the manager would contact us, that never happened and after 3 hours later still nothing. Then we were told the manager wasn’t going to come out and they gave us a list of places we could go charge which was extremely inconvenient as we were only in the city for 2 nights with our two kids. Luckily we booked through expedia and they were able to help us out. The hotel didn’t accommodate us for a baby crib and I had requested a hot water compress for my back the first night and it never showed up. They would not give us any water upon arriving. We drove 10 hrs and my wife was alone in the room while I waited to speak with someone at the front desk and the bellman saw she was struggling with the kids as she asked where she could get some water. They said they do not offer water so she can go up one floor and get it from where the ice machines are but she could not leave both kids in the room alone… he then pointed to the mini fridge and said you could just grab one in there and charged us $50. Leaking toilet. just bad

We stayed here for a family trip. It’s in a great location central to a lot of places to visit and eat. The details and vibe of the hotel are gorgeous. They even provided us with an umbrella to use for the day when it rained. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Barclay!

TERRIBLE!!!!! 1. False reperesantaition of a rooftop which was my reason to book this hotel for 4th of July fire works view for my kids . But the only answer from the manager was “we know that pictures are on social media , sorry for the inconvenience” 2. “Jet lag the most common problem for tourists “ My poor kids were hungry around 11pm , okay I understand kitchen was closed and I didn’t ask for lobster or something fancy I just asked for a pack of chips or nuts or just something small snacks ,because their fridge that they call mini bar is full of alcohols , dietcoke and water . First they said they can not find their keys to access their storage room then with my second call they said it’s too late we can’t refill mini bar at this time , sorry for inconvenience, and I haven’t have or seen any snacks in my room at all . 3. Night after I order cheese burgers ,when it came it was very spicy that my kids couldn’t eat . on the menu it didn’t mention spicy cheeseburger. So I called and explain my son can’t eat spicy and I need to have another normal burger .the answer was sorry kitchen is closed at10:30 we can’t do anything we will send to someone to get the food out and will remove from your bills, sorry for inconvenience 4.POOR STAFF knowledge My boys open the door and He just jumped inside the room with out my permission,I was half naked shocked asked him10 times or more please get out of the room could you see I have no clothes he was standing next to my bed
