La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Jamestown

Clean and ample size room for family of 5. Great breakfast food options. Decent pool size.

Ever since we ditched the double tree this became our go to for anniversaries, birthday get aways or just escaping from our kids lol.

While staying at the la Quinta hotel the staff has been very kind and courteous. We have our 3 young kids with us which we were concerned would be an issue since they are kids and can be loud at times but we had no issues with the hotel. The hotel is very clean, housekeeping always knocks on the door daily to see if you need anything. I bring this up because I have had issues with this at other hotels we have stayed at. I recommend this hotel over all other hotels in Jamestown NY.

This is 1 of the absolute best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! With the exception of the mildew smell in my room and the pool that is under construction it is a 5 star hotel! The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable, the toiletries are top of the line, the breakfast is exceptional, and the service is so kind, courteous, and welcoming! We were in town for a family funeral and the staff in this hotel made it a hassle free enjoyable stay. Thank you all so much.

The day of our stay we realized we were going to get to the hotel late due to family obligations so we called and let the hotel know and told them we did not want them to rent out our selected king room. The person who answered said that would not be an issue and they would never rent out our room. When we arrived at the hotel at 10:00 pm. we were told there were no king rooms left our room had been rented. We were told in it's place we would get a double queen suite at the same price. Not happy but just wanting to start our weekend we agreed. When we entered the elevator there was a liquid dripping down the control panel and running down the wall and a puddle under it on the flood. There was also a very strong skunk like odor in the elevator so bad we had to cover our noses. We hoped to have relief of the odor when we got off the elevator but it was only worse in the halls on our floor so we hurried to the room which happened to be at the very end of the hall. When we got there the door was broken and appeared at some point to have been pried open with a crowbar. Luckily the door still operated but we were not sure how secure it was so we used the bar lock inside at all times. The room itself was not bad other than it not being what I considered a suite and the beds being so high I was not able to get into them without a boost. When we went to breakfast the next morning the scent in the hall was covered by the scent of breakfast but elevator was never cleaned all weekend

I stayed here for 3 nights. The room, breakfast area, and lobby were dirty and poorly maintained. The rooms and hallways smelled musty. There was garbage, pop bottles and baby items left in the room, which means they aren’t being checked or cleaned properly. The front desk staff, breakfast attendant, and housekeepers congregated at the front desk constantly and complained about the guests and how they hated their jobs. Overall, it was not a good experience.

On the plus side - excellent staff, clean and comfortable bedroom and public areas, decent hotel breakfast. Location convenient to downtown and extended family in area. Plenty of free parking. Great shower (no tub). On the down side: Mold in bathroom corners. Family members on third floor complained about musty hallway (big dryers) and room - seems there has been a water problem. No staff keeping an eye on breakfast room so tables were not wiped down after guests left. Worst: Partying next door neighbors from 3-4:30 am. Staff needs to monitor hallways periodically throughout night. Other guests seemed pleasant. Families were using the pool, though we had received an email that it was closed. AC in workout room broken. Nice people, great location, overall good hotel - but that sleepless night means that we will go elsewhere next time.

This LaQuinta was rated 2 star. It far exceeds this rating. Ok, here's my reasons: the bed was a real Hampton quality mattress! The bed and bedding was like sleeping in a cloud! My back hurts every morning from stiffness, but no pain this morning after nearly 12 hours in bed here! The large closet door was a huge mirror! The TV was a perfect picture and somewhere in the size of 35 in., a swivel, smart TV. The "menu" doesn't include HBO but using the channel changer button, HBO came right up. The check out time is 12 noon! We watched Grand Torino in bed while eating a full and amazing breakfast from the free breakfast bar! The staff was polite and friendly, even the guy who might have been the maintenance AND breakfast bar man. I exercised in the stairwell and found the rooftop door open 4in. For child safety reasons I let the front desk manager know. Both she and the man asked me to show them, and they climbed 3 flights with me to takecare of it! Very nice people. And it was $65/ night, $77 after taxes on a Tuesday night. The area was beautiful in downtown Jamestown, across the city sterrt was a. Imdoor ice rink and arena!

Commode was child height. HVAC did not work. No ice on 3rd floor

Easy check-in process. Very clean & spacious room. Mini fridge and microwave was provided which was needed. The staff were friendly. Heidi in participar was very personable and helpful with our check out. We were able to spend a little time with family before our trip home.
