I stayed in room 716 at the Doubletree Jamestown, checking in on the evening of 9/12 after traveling from Washington, DC. The check-in process went smoothly, and after dinner with my wife and 2-year-old at the adjacent restaurant, we returned just after midnight, eager to relax.
However, we quickly discovered the shower drain wasn’t working properly—water wouldn’t drain, and the tub had visible residue from standing water. I contacted the front desk and spoke with Jasmine, the manager. She offered to switch rooms, but I explained that moving at that hour would be a significant inconvenience as our child was asleep. Jasmine suggested we switch rooms in the morning once our child was awake.
I proposed that we use the shower in the new room and return the key the next day, but Jasmine refused, citing a policy against "occupying" two rooms. We were left with the choice to wake our child to move or wait for maintenance, leaving us without a shower. When my wife asked if we could pay for a second room, Jasmine threatened to cancel our reservation, accusing us of "double booking."
It was unacceptable to be given a room without fully functioning amenities, and Jasmine's handling of the situation was unprofessional, especially given it was 12:30 AM. Despite my request, no one from management ever contacted me to resolve the issue.

The staff was absolutely amazing at the DoubleTree. When I say staff I mean the staff working at the front desk. They more then accommodated all of my needs . I felt like they went above and beyond to help me since I had 3 small children and could not leave the room without taking them with me. The hotel is exceptionally clean and extremely safe. You can not get anywhere in the hotel without using your key so you don't have to worry about stranger wandering the hotel.
Aftwr speaking with starr with decided to book another night. We paid for the room and went to show the reservation to the desk. The manager the. Tells us due to our autistic daughter dialing 911 on day one he wouldn't allow us an additional night. Hotel staff said the 911 call was no big deal but the manager disagreed in fact he also said we didn't allow housekeeping in along with other lies. He ended up calling the police lying to them by saying we refused to leave. Not recommended based on manger who 2will be reported.

I’ve never wrote a review like this before in my life. I’m 65 years old. My wife and I wanted to get away for the weekend that was different. So we went to the Doubletree in Jamestown. After walking into our room, we noticed the carpet had not been vacuumed. Paper wrappers on the floor. With clumps of dirt probably from someone’s boot. The phone had dust on it I mean dust. We’re not impressed. There was no soap in the dispenser in the shower . We ate dinner 2 nights in the pub. Dinner was awesome. The problem on Friday night was very loud obnoxious people in the restaurant. Kids were out of control. No parenting. Those same kids were running up and down the hallways. Very loud. We dealt with it. Just took it on the chin. The second night again. Dinner was awesome. We’re sitting in our room around 8:00 PM. And all sudden the walls were thumping. Couldn’t hear music, I could hear was bass. we actually had to turn the TV up. We were on the third floor. I called the hotel desk. She was very nice. But it seem like she was waiting for my call. She already had an answer to move us. That would not worked out because hockey was still in the building. We didn’t want to be subjected to another night on the floor without a control kids. My question is why would you let your customers be ignored? Because of a wedding. When I checked in, they should’ve told me and made arrangements to put me maybe on the top floor at the end of the hallway.

Sorted Expedia for breakfast included and this hotel topped the list. Breakfast is available but not included. Found a nice family diner but it was an additional cost.

Enjoyed my stay. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Friendly area, with good places to eat right down the street. I even rented their hall for my child’s birthday party and it was a wonderful experience. Would stay here again.

Terrible experience! Gave room key for an occupied room. Lobby staff very discourteous, unprofessional, and covered in cheap tattoos. Rude to guests. Redirected families trying to check in to a resort 30 minutes away in Clymer without notifying resort that rooms were needed. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

We came in for a 60th wedding celebration for family. Busy street noise was really the only negative. We loved the cookies the front desk girl offered us. Comfy .. fair priced .. clean.

We were in town for a baby shower for our Granddaughter and the hotel was very nice and convenient location for us to stay. Staff was wonderful, and the place was clean and comfortable. The bathtub drain was very slow, so we were standing in water the whole time we showered. We would like to see more hotels change to the smart height toilets in the bathrooms, to better accommodate individuals with physical issues. We were overall, very happy with the hotel and our room.
