Chautauqua Harbor Hotel - Jamestown

My husband and I frequent the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel at least twice a year to visit family and friends as I also grew up in the area. The hotel and grounds are beautiful!!! We just wish the restaurant service was better. The food and drink is pretty good; however, the wait time to get any type of meal is incredibly long. I’m pretty sure they are understaffed. We will still come back to this fabulous family friendly hotel!

Beautiful, clean, modern, and great staff! Take a family trip with your teens and enjoy the National Comedy center! Have drinks by the water, enjoy the pool, make a stop at Southern Tier Brewery for Mom and Dad!

I loved everything!! Staff was very professional and accomodating . The most beautiful place I have ever stayed in and I travel alot. Comfortable bed and the kids loved the hot chocolate and cookies that were in check in. I will stay there every time I am in the area. Thank you Harbor Hotel

Beautiful hotel. Wish the weather would have cooperated more so we could have enjoyed the out door fire pits at night. Wish the restaurant would have had sandwich options at dinner. We didnt feel like leaving the hotel, but didnt want a big meal. Did not like the kids jumping out of the pool and running into the lobby with wet clother and no shoes. It was after 8, parents were in the lobby having a few cocktails while the kids were leaving water everywhere. Was afraid that all the water left in the hallway, someone may have fallen I eould stay there again, but would avoid the weekend

It was perfect. We were visiting family who live in the area. Everything about it was wonderful : comfortable rooms and beds, excellent food, convenient location, gorgeous surroundings. We will definitely come back!!

Kids swam while we enjoyed a drink by the pool. Watched the sunset over the lake during dinner. Clean, accommodating, and friendly hotel. This was a bit of a splurge for our family but it was nice to sit and relax while the kids swam/played mini golf.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating at check-in and my family felt quite welcome as we made our way to unpack and unwind in the room. What was the major disappointment? Our two beds were made and everything looked in order, but ALL the bed linens were still unchanged from the previous guests! Sounds gross but hey, these are the facts. Hairs on the pillowcases and make-up smudges on the sheets. Whoever had the task of signing off on our room’s readiness really dropped the ball. So after calling down to the front desk, a manager was sent up to verify our observations, apologized for the inconvenience and promptly assigned us a new room on the third floor level, with a balcony upgrade. Pretty cool thing for us and this time the linens were fresh. However, the balcony was clearly a past perch for pigeons. Poop everywhere and a few dust wisps where the walls meet the ceiling above our bed. I really was expecting a far better experience from a grand hotel with such great online reviews and an overall rating of 4.7 stars. Room service was decent in the morning and I enjoyed having breakfast delivered to the room. Dinner the night before was also quite good and our waitress was fantastic. Somehow she heard about our ordeal with the dirty linens and offered her sympathy. There is a nice area for the kids to play miniature golf, an outdoor pool and a beautiful outdoor bar with a few fire pits along the lakeside boardwalk.

We found the hotel to be very clean. The staff is helpful and friendly. The pool is on the small side, but it didn’t feel crowded. The kids enjoyed the complementary iced tea and lemon bars in the afternoon. There is ample lakeside seating and views.

More Handicap parking closer to entrance would be nicer. The staff saw me struggling to walk with my cane so a employee ran over with a wheel chair and took me all the way to our room and said we can keep it till we check out. She also went back and found the foot pads for the chair which made it easier to elevate the legs. Also I checked the second day of our stay and asked if I could take the chair with us to see some family in the area and he checked and said ok which was a great help as I found out when returning home I have 2 collapsed discs and need surgery asap. Having that chair by my side saved the day. I asked if they wanted a depoit of any amount and he politely said just bring it back which I did. My wife and I have stayed at ALL your properties so far and they are all great! PS- We are the couple that stayed in a suite a year or two ago and someone above us fell asleep running water to fill his jacuzzi and our room became flooded and the manager handled everything well relocating us to a lower room as there were no suites to be had and I believe he comped our stay for that night...He deserved a 5 Star review for the way he handled the situation.
