Sleep Inn & Suites Carlsbad Caverns Area

Great spot, close to restaurants gas stations. Clean and family friendly.

Our only problem was the indoor pool was unavailable for our stay. I chose Sleep Inn because of their pool. This was the second night and second hotel of Spring Break whose pool was unavailable. My grandkids were quite sad.

Staffs are nice, but the day we got there, the pool was not open, that was sad for my kid.

Me and my family only stayed one night but it was a very pleasant stay.

The man checking us in "couldn't find" any of my 3 reservations when we arrived and wanted me to be a walk in. I told him I had gotten an emails saying I had already been checked in and after lots of back and forth he found them. The rooms were not very clean, even had an empty water bottle in one when we arrived. There were multiple stains on the floor, toilet paper holder falling out of the wall, the tub stopper wouldn't stay up in one of the rooms. The pool was closed the entire time and I booked this room (and spent more for it) over other hotels specifically to have a pool for the kids.

Wonderful staff. Pool was open for kids to enjoy. Good breakfast choices.

This property didn’t live up to the reviews say it was “fabulous”. Our room was very noisy. The AC unit was very loud and so was the refrigerator. The front desk attendant was very good and the room was nice and clean but the bathroom and door had major issues. First the deadbolt on the door didn’t work properly. I had to lift up on the door handle to get the deadbolt to latch. My wife and children then couldn’t unlock the deadbolt. Very unsafe. If the building caught fire and I wasn’t there to unlock the door? Next the bathroom tub wouldn’t drain properly and we ended standing in water while taking a shower! Yuck!

The elevator wasn’t working and I let the front desk employee know. When I left in the morning it was fixed. The only complaint I have is the bed looked like a kid made it rushing to get to school on time in the morning. But other than that it was a clean, enjoyable stay.

At the time I reserved the room, I requested a walk-in shower as both my husband and I are senior citizens and climbing in and out of a wet tub is NOT our favorite. The hotel responded quickly and said the room change was made at no charge. When I arrived we walked in the assigned room—tub. The desk had only one person, took awhile for housekeeping to ID a room. Moved in—no linens on the sofa bed. Called down, they told me to come get them and make it myself. I said are you kidding? I will never stay here again! Then two delightful ladies from housekeeping made up the sofa bed. Unnecessary drama after a long day’s drive.

The building was nice, and clean. All of the staff was very friendly. We have some allergies in the family, and the breakfast staff was very knowledgeable and kind about sharing what ingredients were in the food. Absolutely enjoyed staying there.
