We stayed here while exploring the Guadalupe Mountains and Carlsbad Caverns. The room was plenty big for the 4 of us (2 adults & our 2 college children). The room and facilities were clean and nice. The room could have used a little deep cleaning, but overall it was clean. We did somehow accidentally get a handicap accessible room, so not sure what the size difference/layout would be for a regular room, but ours was good and worked well for us.
We cooked breakfast in the room and packed lunches everyday, then ate out for dinner. I was not sure what cooking/eating equipment would be there so we brought our own. There was a full size refrigerator, 2 burner stovetop, small sink, microwave, toaster, mini coffee pot and mini dishwasher. It was just right for what we needed (definitely could have used bigger coffee pot, but we just made a lot of pots). I also saw things like a crockpot and BBQ tools that you could check out if you wanted. My family did go down to the continental breakfast for waffles, which they said were good. There was also some fruit, a juice machine, and I believe there was cereal. There is also a small "convenience store" in the lobby with snacks, cold drinks, frozen foods, etc.
There are a lot of oil field workers that stay here, but I also saw many families on vacation. We were on Spring Break (2nd week of March). It was fairly full but it wasn't overly busy and never felt crowded. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The property was modern and in a good location. What I did not like was that our room was a little dirty upon arrival. The staff didn't sweep the entry way and or bathroom. My toddler was trying to pick up all the debris on the floor in our room. For the price per night you would have expected a hot breakfast option vs their Continental offering. You can tell they do not restock so if you get their past 7 am you are not left with much. Overall this place could be better if they had a great attention to detail.

The photos on this website showed swimming pool and water slides, which was expected to be on site not 5 miles away. The photos should be removed because that was very misleading. After missing the caverns my family was looking forward to some pool time after such a hot day. And then we had to settle for corn hole. Other than those let downs the stay was good. Staff was nice and friendly.

Kitchen drawers dirty with food crumbs present. Bed had metal frame that stuck out causing my child to bump his leg on it.

Our family stayed to see the bats. I absolutely loved the high ceilings! It made the room feel so roomy. We didn't stay long, so didn't use the kitchen part, but put some drinks in the wonderful full-size refrigerator. OMG, there's a cute, half-sized dishwasher! Beds were comfy. Sofa bed was comfy. The included breakfast was the normal fare...muffins, toast, yogurt, cereal, juice and coffee. They also had the frozen cheese omelets and bacon/sausage.

The staff was great and there was someone constantly cleaning or vacuuming anytime we were in the common areas. There’s a lot of oil field workers staying here, so you could tell the staff was used to having to follow behind them to clean up dirt. We (mom and two kids) were on the top floor and I swear the ceiling was made of cardboard. Of the three days we stayed, two were very windy days. The first night, we heard nothing but a weird on/off and extremely loud whirring noise that seemed to be connected to the vent fan in the kitchen. I finally figured out it was the vent on the roof blowing in the wind. The last night, a cold front blew in from a different direction and the roof sounded like it was peeling off of the building. The whole structure was creaking all night, loud enough to wake me up.
Overall, the other guests were quiet and the breakfast had a lot of choices. The hotel was neat and the staff nice.
