Hilton Garden Inn Springfield

One night stay while visiting family nearby. Our room was comfortable, clean and perfect. The buffet breakfast in the morning was excellent; fluffy egg and breakfast meats, great bagels, nice fruit and lots of other goodies. The service was exceptional!

Each year when we arrive for our family reunion we are able to check in early. We come from MA and it is nice to be able to change our clothes in our room after a five hour drive.

Whenever we visit our daughter in Newark, we LOVE staying at this Hilton Garden Inn. Whether one night or several nights, this particular Hilton Garden is AMAZING! From the welcoming front desk staff to the lovely restaurant staff. Delores in the dining room was so kind to us and even remembered our visit with our grandsons in the last two years. She, the manager and the whole staff at breakfast made us feel so at home and appreciated. We ordered dinner and took it to our Jr suite as we had several children. They made it so easy for us that it was effortless- especially being grandparents! And the children look forward to our time together swimming in the fabulous salt water pool! I don’t normally use indoor hotel pools as they feel dirty. This property does an amazing job of keeping the pool area clean and inviting. Love this hotel!

We were able to check in early and that was very helpful since we had just arrived from MA and had a family event to attend.

Pretty standard hotel--nothing fancy or special about it, and the location was very mediocre. It's right on Highway 22, which is a very busy highway, so if you can, request an even-numbered room, since they face away from the road, which ours did, and we didn't have any noise problems. The place felt clean and modern, and has guest laundry facilities, which is great to have if you're on a long trip, like we were. The front desk and maintenance service is excellent. There are Keurigs in the room, which I love. If you get a suite, the bathroom and suite doors are frosted glass, which I find really strange. If someone is staying up with the light on, it lights up the other room where someone may be trying to sleep! Why not make them solid doors?! Something to know if you have a baby or small child with you who may need to sleep earlier than you. Along the same lines, those sliding barn doors are used (at least they were in our junior suite) and they provide no noise protection, so you hear everything that's happening in the bathroom and in the separate room. Bad design flaw. Overall, however, our stay was excellent and we were happy with the room. For me, quiet and clean are the number one requirements, and this filled the bill 100%. If you need a nice neighborhood, anything luxurious, or a free breakfast, this is not the place.

Our check in with Jermaine was fantastic! We didnt even ask for a ceib that he already call the staff to have one install innour room.it was really thoughtful! Part from that we had a good stay but on the last day the fire alarm went on and we had to go out outside with 2 babies in cold weather without knowing what was going on and nobody even apologized or communicate what happenned. Part from that this hotel is good
