The Holland Hotel

This is a great option for those looking for a affordable, clean, and safe stay. We had kids with us and felt the area was okay for them. We parked by the Path and took the train into Manhattan from there. The breakfast is simple but actually better than we expected. The property is a bit dated but room was conformable and clean. We would stay again.

This is my third time staying at this hotel and I can't even begin to talk about the many wonderful things. First, the staff is always helpful and friendly, and everyone goes above and beyond. The rooms are always beautiful, clean and modern. I love the location of the hotel too, it's only a short walk to the subway with many great food options around. I have recommended many family members and they always enjoy the stay! I wish I could rate this hotel 10/5 stars.

The price was great and very clean. It is about a half a mile/10 minute walk to the PATH subway into NYC. The room needs more outlets. The breakfast area is too small, with not enough seats and needs adult yogurt not just kids.

My stay was absolutely the best. Almost made you feel like family. Clean, convenient and priced right. Thank you so much and would definately stay at again and recommend to everyone.

This place was an amazing find. It’s not perfect, but I needed an affordable place to stay at the last minute and this was a real safe haven. It was super clean and well cared for, and every member of staff I spoke with was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and had plenty of amenities. At one point in the hallway I realized there was a crying baby next door who I couldn’t hear from inside my room, so noise is not a problem. The only issue I had was with the shower; the water pressure was so low that it wouldn’t really come out of the shower head, so I had to take a bath. I haven’t seen any other reviews mentioning that type of problem so I assume it’s an anomaly, and considering everything this place has going for it, it wasn’t a big deal for me. Very glad I found this hotel!

We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. The hotel is in a good location and was reasonable priced. It is an older hotel but it was clean and suited our needs. If you want your room to be cleaned every day you need to request it. The garbage cans aren't very big but there is a bigger one in the lobby you can use. Overall, we liked it and I would recommend it to others. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Just beware - it is a 13min walk to the PATH station so if you have small kids or elderly people with you, you might want to take this into consideration.

Its a nice property and the location cannot be understated. There is a massive mall a block away, and the PATH train is 2-3 blocks away. We stayed here for two nights prior to a cruise out of Bayonne. Having the mall and transit options was awesome - we made use of both. PATH gets you to Manhattan in 2 stops. The mall is filled with shopping and dining. Behind the transit station is the waterfront with incredible views of NYC. The breakfast is OK. The area is very compact and busy with patrons. Lots of options though, and you can sit outside which is nice. Its a busy lobby. Room plenty adequate for a family of 4.

Perfect! Stayed two nights with my family. Everything was fantastic! Free parking, breakfast. Room was clean, beds comfortable. Location was convenient for catching the Path train into the city. Definitely will be back the next time we visit NYC.

Great location for hopping on the train to NYC. A 10 minute walk and you're at the PATH station to get to the City. Free parking, complimentary fresh brewed coffee available at all times. A nice continental breakfast with juice, tea, coffee and a variety of pastries,rolls, mufffins and I think even cereal. The actual neighbourhood isn't the ritz as it's practically at the entrance to the Holland Tunnel, but we felt safe. The hotel wasn't fancy, but it was spotless. I have recommended this hotel to my family because of the value and location. I'd definitely stay again.

Right off the bat…. The guy who works the afternoon shift is absolutely awesome. Seriously give him a raise. He treated my wife, kid and I with kindness and respect for our entire trip. He remember my name the entire time we were in town. The hotel was in great shape and was very clean. I absolutely recommend it. We drive an EV and there is no charger, but they let us plug our car charger directly into the building. Wasn’t quick but it helped. No fuss or anything. All I can say is the staff was fantastic and we enjoyed the location. If you looking for a great experience in NJ or NY then go here. Thank you for such a great time
