Canopy by Hilton Jersey City Arts District

My family was very pleased with our stay!

Unfortunately the hotel had an issue with the AC. The room I booked was affected and me and my family ended up taking a smaller room. The staff was amazing throughout the whole situation. I will recommend Canopy for anyone that wants to stay in Jersey City.

Our family enjoyed 3 nights there and everyone and everything at the hotel was great! Very clean, welcoming and convenient.

When I think of the word, “Hilton” I think of cleanliness. For the most part you pay for what you get with a hotel brand in my opinion. However this stay was not what I expected. The property itself is well kept. The room/staff is a different story. We could not get a cleaning crew to remove trash, bring toilet paper or towels. On one occasion a staff member raised his tone at my wife, when we matched his tone he realized we were being pleasant at the beginning of our conversation and toned himself down. The cleaning crew did show up on Wednesday, except they did not refill the toilet paper or Kleenex. My favorite part is that I went out and bought small garbage bags to empty our drink bottles/dinner containers and placed the trash outside of our room… the bathroom counter, nightstand and light fixtures are all covered in dust. So this leads me to believe that others have stayed in this room and the common areas were not wiped down. Went out and bought my own bedsheet to sleep on, as seeing the room is not clean.. the sheets are not clean as well. Top worst hotel stay with my family. Too bad I cannot attach photos to this review.

Great hotel to stay with family! The staff were helpful and kind! I would stay there again.

This is one of the best places we've stayed! My kids LOVED it and so did I! The decor was relaxing and creative and the staff was beyond friendly. The rooms had so many upgrades--the comfy beds, the cool lighting, the shower. Also, it was our first time staying in Jersey City and we just fell in love with the art district area. We walked to dinner and the PATH to NYC was half a block from this hotel. I cannot say enough good things about this Canopy!

As a 4 star hotel it doesn't really look good. The shower was really dirty with yellow and brown lines in the wall. My kids found underwear inside one of the drawers, the duvet also had a BIG black stain on it. I am sure you can get a better vafor your money elsewhere. I have pictures but unfortunately I couldn't upload them.

We were in town to visit family. This hotel was conveniently located to the PATH and lots of places to eat. Its centrally located but you couldn't hear any street noise from your room. Hotel is very modern. Room was clean and roomy. We didn't make use of any of the amenities or dining, and was basically there to sleep and shower, but would definitely stay again.

Loved the area and proximity of PATH station. Hotel is lovely and rooms comfortable. Liked sack breakfast feature but breakfast buffet was puny when we got there and no guidance for other options. Grandkids’ cost $14 for piece of toast and a pancake. When we needed to reheat their takeout only option was to pay $20 to rent a microwave. Not very much effort to accommodate.

It was a great hotel but we arrived late at night and since the hotel was overbooked they didn't have the room that we had reserved so we needed to get cots for the kids which took quite a while. The staff tried their best to accommodate but it was annoying to arrive late at night with children and not have a room with enough beds for our family of 4.
