Marquis de Lafayette Hotel

Another great stay at Marquis! We love coming for July 4th weekend! The hotel staff is wonderful and the environment is family friendly. It is perfectly located - right across from the beach and arcades, next to a ton of restaurants and two blocks from the main town. The rooms are kept very clean and every room faces the beach. My kids love to listen to music over the balcony. The pool area is really convenient and I love that there is bar and food service, as well as live music. We will be back!

The Marquis hotel was a very nice place to stay with my family of 4 (2 kids). We had a spacious room, it was clean, balcony overlooking ocean, convenient walking to all the stores restaurants, includes beach passes, towels and parking was a plus! Even though there was music down in bar area, once the living room door was closed we could not hear any noise from bedroom. Friendly staff and our room was cleaned each day. Will definitely be back!

While the location was great, the hotel lacked in comfort and updates. The bathroom was so old and small. The bed was small. The air conditioner and ceiling fan were so loud. Lastly, at check in, they informed us that we could not use the pool after check out. We went for 2 days. The first day was raining, so that left my kid with about less than 2 hours the next day to enjoy it. The hotel did not ruin our getaway because we love Cape May!

Great time at Marquis de Lafayette! I never write reviews but my family had a wonderful time this past July 4th. The room was very clean and easily walkable to the beach and central to town. The pool was heated and so much fun! Kids had a blast and it was so accessible. Highly recommend for a low key, fun time with family.

This is our second visit to the Marquis de Lafayette Hotel, and it won't be our last. The first time we stayed at the hotel we stayed in a room that would accommodate our dog. The room was perfect for that with easy access to the outdoors, but the room was all tile, outdated, and felt more humid than the room we had at our most recent stay (which was a non-pet room bc we left our pooch at home). All the rooms have an ocean view and a small balcony that fits two rocking chairs. We were very happy with our room, the bathroom was updated and it was very comfy for our family of 6. The staff was always friendly, accommodating, and took care of us. The location can't be beaten. Just walk across the street and you are at the beach. Just a short walk and you are at the local shops. **Make sure to visit Peace Pie** for THE BEST ice cream sandwiches you will ever have.
