La Mer was a beautiful place to kick off the holiday season with a long family weekend. Rooms were spacious, well appointed and clean. Breakfast at the Pier House was a treat. Spectacular ocean views from our room. Pool area was under construction but was a non-issue as we stayed out of season and on the weekend.

This is a very nice property right on the ocean. Check in with super simple, we got Beach badges for every member of our family as part of check-in. My family went on the beach several times and really enjoyed having a beach chair an umbrella and towels right there ready for them. The room was very clean and spacious. The property is immaculate. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great hotel located right on the water. it is definitely very loud though with lots of children. The restaurant is very good and the bar area outside is adorable. Great for families.

I understand I booked an obstructed view room. What I didn’t expect and what the hotel told me basically too bad…was the family of pegeons living on my patio and covering the table, chair and floor with gross droppings. Not only that, but the collective cooing was loud and non stop. My room was by the elevator and screaming kids were running by every ten minutes. $670 for a $250 room from hell. Oh yeah,,,the sink was backed up too. I complained and was basically told too bad.

We stayed in officiate condominium which was beautiful and ocean view. It was clean and spacious. Only downside is if kids are staying next door you can hear the noise if loud. There is a parking spot right behind building and you have to drive to hotel to use pool and amenities. Otherwise overall great stay.

This is a hotel that is more geared towards families. It can get pretty loud early morning if you want to sleep in. My personal view is that at the 600 plus price point, the carpet should be updated and the plastic fitted showers replaced. I understand that it is easier for maintenance but that's not resort level. Also, something needs to be done to have some semblance of privacy on the balcony and not sit with your neighbors! The rooms are very well kept and clean!
