New Victorian Suites

The facilities are good. Decently clean. In the Mall District literally right next to Tru by Hilton. However I was there for a tournament and didn’t want to book the entire week because I didn’t know if my kids would stay in it all week/weekend. Staff did not like it that I paid daily. They tried to force me to pay their price of $90+tax for the entire week. I refused and continued booking daily towards the last couple days. They told me Thursday would be the last day allowed for me to do that, which was a good thing the tournament was over on Friday.

Since this hotel is so affordable, I think many families must flock to it—meaning the place was crawling with kids. We couldn’t even attempt going to the pool because it was absolutely packed with kids. The rooms let in quite a bit of sound—could hear a strangers’ snoring from the next room. The breakfast was decent though, and again, for the price it wasn’t too bad. Plus, lots of grocery stores in walking distance was good.

The hotel felt clean, the people who worked there were very nice, and my kids loved the free breakfast!

Staff was very nice. A child's birthday party was being held the night we stayed. When checking in the staff said I'll give you a room away from them so its quieter. I thought that was nice. The card reader on our door worked to get us in the room, but never worked again. Staff tried to reset our keycards, used their master keycard, which did not work. The used an actual key to open our door. They did offer to move our room. We stayed put since we were already settled in the room and we just needed a place to sleep.

Check-in was a breeze and they had good customer service. We reserved 2 rooms (303 & 305 were assigned to us). 303 was clean and in good order. 305 smelled like a dirty guinea pig cage. The urine smell was so strong. We notified the front desk and they came to the room and granted a room change. New room was 313 and it smelled much better but it definitely had the stale smoke smell as if it were a smoke friendly room once upon a time. The pool is small and being it was a Saturday, it was packed. We went swimming Sunday morning and the kids had a great time. Had to ask for clean pool towels and the area was a bit unkept but they have textured floors so it is non-slip which was nice. Beds were comfortable. You have to ask for the pull out beds bedding. Shower was good. Good black out curtains and a/c worked well. Didn't have the breakfast. Good sound proof (couldn't hear our neighbors). The men working were really attentive and had a positive attitude despite some of the chaos happening (kids running around everywhere, the issue we reported, etc.).

It was clean and well maintained. Within walking distance to grocery stores and fast food. Staff was friendly. The only problem was i made a mistake when I reserved the room i reserved a king size bed with a double bed fold out couch(my mistake) when i tried to change to a double queen room i couldnt because the hotel was full. When i went to get sheets, blanket and pillows to make the bed the guy at the front desk didnt want to give me any bedding. He ended up giving us 1 pillow, 1 bottom sheet, 1 blanket. I had kids that needed that bed. Not a real big deal but a bit annoying

My two children and I stayed the night at this hotel and they had our room right next to the front office. I felt completely safe. Our beds were very comfortable and the Continental breakfast was perfect for the morning! We would absolutely stay again!

Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Typical continental breakfast (lacking protein). Rooms were decent, clean a bit outdated. Pool was small but adults and children all had lots of fun.

Even though the pool was not as large as I thought it would be, it was heated so that completely trumped the size of the pool. The included breakfast was nice for my children. However, there weren't very many gluten free options which made it difficult for me to have a decent breakfast since I have celiac. The hotel was well kept and the staff was friendly and accommodating and extremely helpful. Especially when the guests next door decided to have a screaming match until one in the morning and the staff had no problem dealing with that issue. And when my son clogged the toilet, they were quick to get me a plunger. Lol.

In general this hotel is alright, location is very good. i have been staying in New Victorian Inn or Suites many times before but this time I am quite disappointed actually.. we atayed there on Friday night to attend our family gathering on Saturday. We checked out on Saturday at about 8.30am After the event was done, we left Lincoln heading home at around 8pm, got home close to midnight and only then I realized I didnt have my ipad with me… I called back the hotel and receptionist said they had it, which I am grateful for but my question to her was why nobody called me earlier, the receptionist said she had a note saying they tried to cal me but to no avail. But sorry I dont have any miscalled on my phone, otherwise I would have returned the call and I had my phone all day..
