Candlewood Suites Grand Island, an IHG Hotel

Just a one night stay during a road trip to visit family. Staff were friendly. My only issue was learning about a $75 pet fee on arrival - that information wasn’t posted on the site I made the reservation on.

We always stay here when we visit Grand Island to see family. It is clean, comfortable and easily accessible to shopping, dining and our family. We highly recommend Candlewood Suites.

Really nice hotel with friendly staff. The “apartment” style room with small kitchen was great for my family.

Our stay was wonderful except we were not told that the pool was scheduled for two days for “routine maintenance.” I had kids who needed to burn energy after traveling all day and the next. It was unfortunate that we weren’t informed of this when we check in or sooner.

Was clean and quiet, but was frustrated with 9 kids in the pool and 1 adult who wasn't with all of them. On the rules on the wall it clearly states that if under the age of 16, a child should be supervised by a parent or . legal guardian. The kids were all under the age of 10 and messing around. The pool is small and so our kids didn't want to stay in the pool. I went to the front desk and she said she would look into it, but when I went down to the front desk again to purchase chocolate milk, she told me the parents were in and out of the pool checking on them. I told her that's not what the rules state on the wall and it was a problem considering we left the pool area. Not happy our kids didn't get to have fun swimming :-(
