Fairfield Inn & Suites Fremont

Nice area. Conveniently located to family in Valley. The beds are a bit hard for my liking. Overall, the hotel is clean, great breakfast.

We would have preferred a room that had 2 beds and a couch for the kids so that they all had a place to sleep.

I feel that this is the nicest hotel in Fremont, NE. Being a Marriott-family hotel chain, you know the quality will be there. The firmness of the bed was perfect..."Marriott perfect." The bathroom is modern/up-to-date in its style and amenities. The staff were responsive, friendly, and supportive. The only thing that I would improve upon or change is the free morning breakfast. I was a little surprised by "packaged" and "microwaved" breakfast entrees like quiche, waffles, "egg-McMuffin-style" stage and egg sandwiches. They did have a fresh container of oatmeal the first morning, but that changed to dried/packaged oatmeal the remaining days. They also had fresh hard-boiled eggs and fresh scones, but...each day the displayed offering of those two things showed a decreasing number of each. That told me that they were "fresh" the first day, but the second. And to validate it, the scones got drier and more stale tasting each day. I fully appreciate that it is hard to predict how much food to prepare each day, based on the number of guests in the hotel, and how many will avail themselves of the free breakfast, but...for this of us who have stayed at other hotels that also offer a free breakfast, we know that a serving container of fresh scrambled eggs, fresh bacon and sausage, fresh breakfast potatoes, and a waffle machine to make fresh waffles impresses the traveler a little more. But again...this is the best hotel in Franklin, NE "by far."
