Homewood Suites by Hilton Springfield Medical District

I have stayed here several times for work but this time was a last. I feel like I was being pranked with how bad this last visit was. I arrived late to the property 11pm and when I got to the room with my sleeping kids the room was dirty. Bathroom and kitchen were filthy. It was obvious that no one had cleaned but the sheets and towels were clean so I cleaned it myself. I spent the night cold because our king size bed had queen sheets. I had asked the front desk for new sheets and that never happened so night two was cold . They also decided to fill the pool with chemicals right at the pool open time. So my morning. Swim with the kids was ruined and the staff “yeah so”……. I will take my business elsewhere

I like staying at Homewood Suites. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The properties are usually conveniently located. This property was five minutes from family I was visiting.

I would definitely revisit this hotel. The shampoo, body wash and conditioner we not full for our family of 6 and the ice tray had chocolate sauce smeared in it. The beds were all comfy and the rooms clean.

My family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hotel was clean and modern. Having nice basketball court, outside area with firepit, common area to watch large tv and hot drinks in lobby,…. Nothing looked dated or used. The free breakfast was amazing - my family looked forward to it each day. Homemade Waffles, sausage, eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, cereal, pastries, fruit, yogurt - very delicious. Huge thank you to the hard working courteous and friendly staff we encountered during our meals. They were wonderful. We would definitely stay there again. Only cautionary note I would make is the pool outer flooring was tile and extremely slippery dangerous. Two of my children fell walking out of the pool to the benches - one scraped his knee badly but I was thankful he didn’t hit his head. They should replace the flooring as it’s not the best choice when wet. Guests had been in there all day annd the floor was covered in water. Otherwise we were impressed with everything at this location.

One staff stands out most, his name is Kevin but honestly all staff are warm and friendly as well, I’ve never been to a hotel who adores my dog Havachon like they did here in Homewoods Springfield. They literally would stop and pet and play with Ranger. My family and I had an awesome time here. Breakfast is very decent and always fresh, and has good options. The Lobby has 24/7 coffee/tea for guests. The pool has a good size and its indoor. Great for kids for some down time. Gym has a pretty decent size as well. Rooms are clean. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel especially for travelers with four paws in their family.

This suite was great and well beyond my expectations. It was clean, well decorated and very spacious for my and my family. We we certainly stay here again.

First, this hotel is new and beautiful with a nice breakfast. It is in a quiet part of town. I would stay here again solely for those reasons. However, we arrived promptly at check-in time when we were told that none of our 3 rooms were ready and it would be a while. We waited in the lobby with a 4 month old baby and 6 other kids for 2 hours before ONE of our 3 rooms was ready at 5pm. Our event started at 7pm and all 13 of us had to pile into that one room with our luggage and get ready to go. The front desk clerk refused to comp us anything for this extreme burden. I got a call at 630pm and 830pm saying our 2nd and 3rd rooms were ready...FIVE hours later! We were already at our event and didnt return until 1130pm. That late in the night, we had to check in and move our luggage. It was a huge hassle and we received zero sympathy ir compensations from the hotel. I don't blame the young girl working the desk and thats why I didnt raise a fuss to her after she declined our comp request. Very poor customer service. Also, the pool seemed very nice, but tile floor in the pool area is very slick. My son slipped and hit his head on it. Walk carefully.

Staff is very friendly. Breakfast was hot, well stocked, and very clean. Room was great. We got the 1 bedroom with 2 queens. The bathroom is only in attached to the bedroom so people out in the kitchen/living area have to come into the bedroom to use the bathroom. Only a problem if you have loud older kids who wake up your younger kids who need to sleep more. Area around the hotel felt safe, there is a grocery store immediately north of the hotel, and there are places to eat close by. The suite had a full kitchen with a cooktop, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and toaster (just no oven for obvious reasons). The only thing that needed maintenance inside the room was the doors squeaked and were difficult to get fully closed. Great place to stay - we were very happy.
