Comfort Inn South - Springfield

My stay was okay. The only problem was the bathroom. The toilet was too small. It needed to be higher for adults and not for kids.

Nice place to stay. Huge room for family of 5 was nice with two quern beds and a double sofa sleeper.

Good hotel to stop with the family as we traveled through on a road trip. Kids liked the pool. I appreciated the free laundry facility. Breakfast was decent.

I liked the property ok, the staff at the front desk however were offensive. When i commented on the pool being closed, which was disappointed as our family picked a place to stay that had an indoor pool the comments made by the clerks were defensive i was told that she told me this at check in (if she did i didnt hear her) and also the man said its on all the web sites (no it is, if it is listed on the website then it is hidden and should be listed under the pool section) they both had a negative attitude and treated me like it was somehow my fault. Rude. Also another lady doing houskeeping made comment about needing the elelavtor while i was already waiting there for it. The customer service as far as attitude and professionalism needs great improvement and no I do not plan to use the hotel again for that reason especially if our family is counting on a pool.

3 night stay. 1st room clogged toilet & sink. Staff came to room & handed us a plunger to unclog the toilet & said they had nothing to unclog the sink until the next day. We decided to change rooms. 2nd room ended up across from the elevator with guests/children coming/going thru the night. 3rd room toilet was very sluggish to the point of also being clogged. Otherwise staff was friendly.

This trip was hard for me to rate. We've stayed at this specific hotel many times while visiting Springfield and never really had an issue before. But this time we were left lacking. First off, the staff are so polite. They definitely recieve 5 stars (at least those we had contact with). However, the hot tub was not in use on this trip. Also, our room wasn't the cleanest. Our toilet hadn't been cleaned that great, there was a broken closet door that refused to stay shut, splatters were on the closet mirror like it hadn't been cleaned, and we found a dirty diaper under the chair once we moved it a smidge to protect our daughter from hitting it if she fell out of bed. I hate to rate this stay poorly because we've never had a problem in the past, but I can't say for sure wed stay here again. We traveled for a conference where i was in the hotel with kids the whole time while my husband was at the conference. It would have been better if i wasn't in the hotel that long.

This is an at least 25-30-year-old re-branded Baymont Inn. There was a big stain on the carpet in the room. I realize it was just the luck of the draw, but they filled it up with kids from various sports teams that were noisy in the hallway until well into the night. Perhaps that is more on their chaperones more the hotel.

We stayed in hotel for 3 nights. Room was clean and my kids enjoyed the pool.

I've stayed here a number of times, some better than others. A couple trips ago, the sheets on my bed were stained. Told them the next morning.....no apology, just said they'd look into it. Got better next couple stays after that. Stained sheets again last night (have pics for proof from last night and before) Breakfast at times is a disaster. Always people waiting for the hot stuff...eggs, sausage, etc.. And the eggs this morning literally looked like they were minced (had to eat them with a spoon) Always waiting for basic stuff like milk. Either bring someone from the front desk to help out or get someone who knows how to be prepared for the number of people (families, business people, etc.) coming down for breakfast. What a shame! It's a nice hotel and great location. But for what I just stated above, it's nowhere near worth what I paid for it. .

The desk clerk gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner. Our room was comfortable and the bed slept well. Breakfast was good. My only complaint is that the pictures of the pool area are very misleading. They make it look more lush and bigger than it truly is. We couldn't use the pool because it is so small and there were a lot of young kids jumping in it so we only used the hot tub.
