Comfort Suites Grand Rapids North

The room across from ours had bed bugs, when we pulled back our sheets to check our bed we found items behind the bed from the last tenants. When we checked the couch we found pizza trash and toys and lots of dirt around in and under the couch. We didn’t find any bedbugs in our room however so that was a plus. We had a two bed room with a pull out couch. There were no sheets, blankets or pillows for the pull out. When I went to the front desk they told us they were out of blankets and pillows so my kids only had sheets. I checked back later in case there was a laundry issue and they said they were just out. They also charged someone’s credit card that was not mine for the room and couldn’t figure out what to do when I informed them about it. The hot tub was broken, the air in the pool area was broken and it was ridiculously hot and humid in the room. The breakfast area was set out in the morning and never restocked the entire time so if you came down even two hours before it was done most of the food was gone. It was overall a frustrating experience and quite disappointing.

Stayed here for a baseball tournament. The staff were super friendly. The room was clean. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub but both needed water added to them. The breakfast was great. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

My husband and i have stayed here routinely when visiting family. Its always a good stay, with nice breakfast. This last visit we had someone with a dog above us, playing fetch at various hours. We asked for a new room and they immediately apologized and got us a new room to our liking. To be fair, I dont think the dog owner knew how much sound carries to the floor beneath. We will come back next time we are in the area

Chose this hotel to take my kids swimming. While checking in we were told the pool and hot tub were open until 11pm, we went and changed into our suits and headed downstairs where we were then told both were closed for the next three days. The entire lobby and elevators reeked of marijuana. Our room smelled like stale cigarette smoke, had stains all over the couch cushions and didn’t have any extra bedding for the pullout bed which is where the kids were supposed to sleep. Not that I was going to let them considering the disgust I had about how dirty it was. We decided to change back into our clothes and ask for a refund considering the one thing we went for was to swim and couldn’t even do that. Front desk said she would give us our refund and it’s now been a week and a half and still have not received the money. Very disappointed

Booked this junior suite for my sister for her anniversary gift ON HER anniversary and paid for it completely but they go to check in and they say there is no reservation for her and that all and that they sold that room after 4 and a half hours of them there trying to get checked In and on the phone with hotels. Com and receipts anc conformation numbers they get them into a regular room and still paid only $20 less then the suite

Bathtub was dirty, trash in bathroom, water pressure in shower was terrible. Jacuzzi was broken and no notice when booked. Bunch of young kids yelling and running down hallways until 11 pm. Hallway wreaked of marijuana. Been here 4-5 times in last month for work. Worst experience.

Room was nice. Only issue was noisy kids in room above me.

Coming to Grand Rapids for a funeral, I chose Comfort Suites Grand Rapids North as it was conveniently located, clean, great breakfast, close to family, easy access to highway to get back home.

We stayed to get the kids out of the house. The room was big and mostly clean. The not so traveled areas weren't cleaned but the bedding and bathroom were great. In room coffee maker was dirty so we didn't use it. The pool and hot tub were fine. Lots of chlorine as most hotels do and a little small but worked for us. Breakfast was great. Eggs/sausage/waffles. We will stay again
