Bavarian Inn of Frankenmuth

Our experience was that the hotel is currently having an issue with ants. Crawling in from all directions we had to be careful not to let our infant twins crawl on the floor. We told the hotel about the ants. They moved us upstairs and the ants were present in that room as well. We dealt with a manager named Kelly that was extensively unfriendly. This unkindness was not our experience while staying in the hotel in 2022, and 2023. We had requested some compensation, and they were not able to provide us with any because our booking was through hotels.com and was non refundable. Thankfully hotels.com recognized my 8 year membership and assisted in what ways that they could. Hotels.com phoned the hotel and spoke with Kelly and they were met with the same aggressive response that we were. This hotel is usually fun, and the Zhenders family is quite hospitable. Hopefully one day we will be able to make it back under different circumstances, when the hotel maintenance is completed and the infestation of ants has been dealt with by proper exterminators. As well, the expansion of the water park.

Great stay with the kids will be back!

The Bavarian Inn was gorgeous with so much to do! My family of 5 with different ages had a blast! Even my two year old had plenty to do! Amazing.

A 1 night stay in Frankenmuth and short get away with the kids. They loved the hotel, water park, games, and activities. Lots of fun for family.

Wonderful! Perfect location, beautiful area with just about everything you could want. The one negative I would add, when booking rooms for people without children, a couple maybe, perhaps consider NOT putting them right next to stairway to leading down to 'fun center' areas. MANY families with exuberant children going up and down, very loud, very distracting, not ideal. Otherwise, 100%

Hotel was nice, they charged me an extra fee for my 6 month old baby which I thought was odd, I’ve never had a hotel do that. So they charged me $18 extra for my 6 month old baby and said it was because I had an extra person for a 4 person room but still gave me a 4 person room so it was kind of confusing. The hotel itself was nice for a family get away other than that.

Always a great time for the family. Staff is great. The rooms are in need of an upgrade.

I liked the amenities and the family fun activities. I didn’t like the lack of noise dampening between the rooms and hallway.

Kid friendly. The rooms were clean. I couldn’t hear any noise outside my room. I had a toddler that thoroughly enjoyed everything the hotel had to offer. Highly recommend!!! The breakfast buffet was fantastic but they definitely need better coffee options.

If you have kids and are looking for a unique place to spend some time, this is the place. Waterslides, pool, hot tub, gaming area, restaurants. Super clean; cleaning is visible daily in all areas of the property. Plus Frankenmuth itself is within walking distance. Really unique. A store in town that does Christmas year round. Outlet malls 20 minutes away. I know I would stay here again with having to think about it.
