I had to leave the hotel at midnight with my wife and 2 minor children because the room above us was making so much noise. The guest on the room above us kept walking and or running and the noise was unbearable. I complained to front desk and she said she went outside the door and could not hear anything. However, the other person at the front desk said it could be coming from gym. Horrible customer service!

Very good hotel. Good hot breakfast! Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Nice room with a bar fridge and micro. Convenient to be on the main floor since I don’t think there are elevators. Very close to Birch Run outlets for shopping and short drive to Frankenmuth. Sometimes we could hear people walking around in the room above us or in the hall but despite being full all the weekend the hotel quieted down every night. Lots of families. Would definitely stay again.

I absolutely loved our room we got for our anniversary. The jet tub was AMAZING and will be booking again in the future. What I did not like was that ALLLL night from abou 1AM Till 7am that night, it was SO LOUD with people that I couldn’t even sleep or get back to sleep. There were people running up and down the hallway worse than children. They were adults! Women were in the hall being extremely loud and some guy came out in the hall are started yelling at her for being so loud. Maybe have someone walk the halls or something to make sure everyone is at least quiet and not screaming in the hall when almost everyone else in the hotel is sleeping. That’s the only complaint I had! Everything else was amazing!

The one thing my wife and I were very displeased with was we went there to celebrate her birthday. We were in the hot tub to relax when there were a bunch of kids playing football in the pool. The football hit my wife in the back of the head. Parents totally ignored the situation as the father was drinking inside the hot tub while the mother spent all her time on her cell phone. When we told the front desk, she apologized but said she couldn’t do anything. All I can say is you are very lucky my wife was not seriously hurt.

The pool and breakfast area was really nice. However the beds are very high which is a bit scary for a toddler.I didn’t sleep well with my three year old grandson for fear he was going to fall off the bed.

I liked pretty much everything about this property, but for just a couple of things. The most annoying thing about staying here, in room 219, was that the bathroom door wouldn't stay open. We had to prop the door open during the day with the wastebasket between the door and the toilet. During the night, the wastebasket went between the door and the frame. We like to use the bathroom light as a night light to see where we're going. Then, at midnight, kids were running above us and we had to get up very early the next morning. And, the toilet seat was cracked and chipping. The rest was great. Staff, we didn't see so I don't know how to rate them. The pool was open. Breakfast was hot and available. Most places aren't doing anything, so that was nice. We ate at Tony's on I-75. It was right around the corner. Lots of shopping right there, Meijer right there, Frankenmuth was only 12 minutes away. Perfect. Clean. Hallways were hot, but the rooms were cold and that was a plus because it was 85* outside. Location was good. I'd stay there again.

We took my parents (both in their 80s) on a trip for their 61st Wedding Anniversary. They had traveled from PA to Michigan. We had traveled to Upper Michigan (Traverse City, Sutton Bay and a few other places. Then also wanted to visit Frankenmuth since they had been there before and loved it. We tried to make reservations while in Traverse City but almost all hotels were booked for the weekend due to softball and men's classic baseball tournaments. We were able to secure two rooms at Holiday Inn Express. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency we had to cut the trip short. While driving to hotel my wife attempted to cancel rooms. The lady that answered phone was extremely rude, told my wife "she should have read the cancelation policy" then hung up on her. Since we were traveling past the hotel, we stopped, and I went in to discuss. I was greeted by a rude woman at the counter who said yeah I talked to your wife. We can't cancel because you booked it through a 3rd party (Expedia) and that I would have to deal with them. When I tried to explain the family emergency she said, "it's not my problem" and referred me back Expedia. When I contacted "Expedia" I was told that this is the hotel's policy not theirs and there is nothing they could do. I would not recommend this hotel or Expedia. While we are out $400 hotel expense. It added insult to injury for my elderly parents who had to go home a deal with the family issue. Great customer service.

My room air conditioning was not working properly. When I inquired with the front desk the girl told me that people started overriding the system on the wall because of Tic Tok videos. Not sure what that has to do with the air system. My room was 73 and uncomfortable for my family and myself.
